You could take your puppy to Petsmart or a similar store & sign up for obedience classes. The classes are about once a week for 6 weeks. They're very inexpensive & a lot of fun.

Both the dog & the owner will learn lots of training tips. You'll learn how to train your dog to sit, stay, come on comand, down, heel.

Check it out sometime, you & your dog will have fun!

You need to establish your role as top dog -- alpha. You can do this by "submitting" Mocha. It's a little too complex to explain in this space, but ask your vet or get a book on dog training. And if you're lazy and don't like to read, just watch a few episodes of The Dog Whisperer. Good luck.

Do the same thing you do with Ricky; only thing is that Mocha is going to take a longer time to learn obedience because she is not as smart. So, it will be more work for you. Obedience classes will allow you more time to work with her and motivate you.

With a lot of reading (oon the subject), with a lot of love and with IMMENSE patience. I found that with a lot of staring, and with a lot of finger pointing and a lot of silent stares after commands works a treat !! It is a very skilled job. Seek professional advice. I am not a professional but I loved seeing my puppy eager to learn and eager to please -- I ADORE animals.... far better than people !!!.
