why do christians say they arent true christians? isnt God supposed to be the only Judge? why do christians say Jesus is God? because christianity is was and always will be a religion for the ignorant and the evil. You know now that it is bad and they will never see it until they deconvert. some will never get it and some will make up lies and excuses to defend thier religion which is not worth defending. why do you think defenders of christianity are called apoligetics? its because they have a LOT to be sorry for.

Why are people who don't understand Christianity or Christians themselves so quick to hate and label Christians?
Wow...you really have no clue about Christians at all.
Salem witch trials-yes, this was an atrocity rooted in Christian beliefs and I do not know anyone who tries to defend this. But the main problem with what happened was that the government system present there was a theocracy...it doesn't matter what religion it is...if it is embedded into the government, then we've got trouble. (that's why Muslim nations are so oppressive...it is not the religion itself, it's the theocracy). And Christians that want a theocracy are very few and far between and generally do not understand politics. A theocracy was why the church of the Roman Empire became so corrupt...it wasn't the religion itself.
As far as Nazi-ism and the Holocaust...you are sorely misinformed. Nazi's were NOT Christians. They didn't even want to claim that they were. There was a term called 'positive christianity' embedded into their ideology...but it was not Christian nor claimed to be. It labeled all main stream Christianity as heretical...their ideas had nothing to do with Christianity.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism
Although it is true that Christian governments tortured and murdered heretics or people that went against the church-it was not 'Christianity' that did this-it goes back to what I was saying when a religion is embedded into the government...the government corrupts the church, not the other way around...governments are already corrupt.
But those instances were ages past...it rarely happens today. Although I am sure that someone somewhere in the world has done these horrible things in the name of Christ. But it is folly to assume the heinous actions of a few are a representative of a whole.
And where in the heck did you get the idea that Christians give people AIDS?!?! No offense, but what kind of crack are you smoking?!?! No one created AIDS and it has spread so rapidly primarily through sexual promiscuity...it has nothing to do with religion nor is it a punishment from God.
What is your problem with Christians anyway? Just because you've had a bad experience with a handful and read about atrocities in days long gone?
All most Christians want to do is to convene and practice their faith in peace and be able to share that faith with others. And if you have a problem with Christians interacting with people of different walks of life so that they can share their faith...then it is you who is hateful and intolerant...not the Christian.

First off, you sound troubled.
But anyway, I'll address the Holocaust issue. The Holocaust was not a "Christian atrocity." The Nazis' ulimate goal was the eradication of Christianity and all other beliefs, in favor of the old Teutonic religions and mythologies.
Here are excerpts from "Hitler's Secret Conversations 1941-1944":
National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things. (p 6 & 7)
Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure. (p 43)
The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.... Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... ...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... Christianity the liar.... We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. (p 49-52)
The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity.
Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease. (p 118 & 119)
There is something very unhealthy about Christianity (p 339)
I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie. Our epoch Uin the next 200 yearse will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity.... My regret will have been that I couldn't... behold ." (p 278)
**********************************************************************
These statements all sound oddly familiar - similar to what many atheists and anti-Christians say about Christianity, here and elsewhere. Sehr interessant...
Love, Jack

Hmmm.. I do not believe you...
I believe that witchtrials and the holocaust were political in nature... having nothing to do with religion...
perhaps they are not perfect Christians?... maybe if they were Perfect Christians... they would call down fire from Heaven to burn up some of the unrighteous people.
overseas? hmmm... do you mean here in the USA? Christianity started in the Middle East...
AIDS? hmmm... and ... while you are at it... how about wiping out the indians with smallpox?!?
I take it that you believe that just because someone is Christian that they should be perfect just like Jesus? It is not that easy with everyone around you telling you that you cannot pray in school... you cannot use public buildings for your meetings (but they will allow Satanic groups to use them)... it is getting harder and harder to become perfect... and I need so much more work... it just totally surprises me that I don't just throw out some mindless insults on your intelligence and the amount of research that you should have done prior to posting this question... but.. I HAVE changed enough to know that it is not necessary... you have made a choice... and you have free will.

I am so sorry your life has been so sad and full of such trials that is has filled you with such hate... I wanted to, but at your request I have not prayed for you... you do, however, have some unfortunate misunderstandings of The Christian Faith... I will only address the Holacost.... NO ONE of The True Christian Faith participated in any part of the active Holocost. That would be ABSOLUTLY against God's will and the teaching of Jesus The Christ. Christ, who is our Lord and Master, is The KIng Of the Jews... And The Nation of Israel(the jews) are God's chosen people... is is a sad fact that many Christians did nothing to stop it out of fear for their own lives... those will answer for this inaction when they stand before The King.

Too many questions; limit your rant, or post singular questions for decent answers.
As for the witch trials, I make no excuses for them. These people were obviously over-zealous in their persecution of the people whom they thought to be witches.
You need to remember, though, that a lot of the charges of witchcraft were brought by people who had personal grudges against those charged.
And, that being said, the accusers & executioners will have to answer to God for their behaviors.
I think your idea about the holocaust is misguided.
People usually bring up the Crusades as another means of attacking Christianity.
Throughout history, some people have used Christianity as means for their personal gain; from the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the subjugation of some American Indians.
But, again, these people will have to account for themselves to God.
Everyday Christians don't use the Bible or Christianity as the way you are presupposing here.

First, not all Christians are the same, that is impossible. It's impossible because not all people are the same. You cannot group ALL people into the same category. Second, I can't tell you why people use religion to hide behind. Third, Christianity is not about religion. It is about a relationship with God and we are never to judge anyone under any circumstance. But I will say again that humans are fallible and we all make mistakes so I guess it's fortunate for us that we are offered forgiveness.

So-called "Christians" have done much to turn sincere persons away from God. However, these false "Christians" have been agents of Satan the Devil, the wicked powerful spirit creature who wants worship for himself but will settle for turning humans away from God.
Jehovah's Witnesses have proven themselves to be as different as possible from false Christendom, and simultaneously to be the only one prominently fulfilling Christ's command to preach:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world [under Satan's control], the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Wow, you blame the holocaust on Christians. You do realize that Hitler was far from being a Christian or even claiming to be one. Yes Adolf Hitler was raised a Catholic but if you look to his own words you can find his true beliefs.
"We do not want any other God than Germany itself."
Hitler used religion as a political tool.
As far as the other parts, why do athiests have to condone their lack of belief by trying to demonize the belief of others, is it because they are trying to still force themselves into believing there is no such thing as God?

i do no longer excuse it. i think of it is thoroughly unacceptable and fully no longer in step with Christian values... that's why a lot of human beings make the logical assumption that hence, the perpetrators of suggested violence or misconduct (take the Inquisition to illustrate) maximum probably weren't probably followers of Jesus' teachings, and have been basically using their church hierarchical/political status as a guise with a view to pursue their very own little selfish objectives, or get rid of their enemies. lots of individuals will wave me off asserting "hah, he's basically using the common no longer-a-authentic-Christian argument" yet to be honest as quickly as you think of roughly it, this is clever. you could no longer blame an entire perception team for the strikes of a few - exceedingly if those strikes do no longer actual correspond or consider the ideals of that team.
