My family and I are going to travel to my home country, the Philippines in 3 days and I've just received a letter from the INS stating that my application for removal of condition of status has been approved and that I should go to have my green card renewed. We will still have time to apply for renewal but what worries me is that now I am gonna have to travel outside the US without my actual green card. I've read forums about this saying that I will have my passport stamped that will show that my renewal of green card is under processing but I also saw that there were Filipinos that were denied to board their planes to go back to the US because they don't have an actual green card to show. Has anyone here actually traveled under the same circumstances? This really worries me so I was wondering if there are others out there who have experienced traveling while their green cards are under processing who can share me their experiences. Thanks in advance.

I went to the USCIS last week with the same question (I'm German): they just stamp your passport, which is a temp visa.
Coming back in takes a little more time, because they place you in a separate room while checking your paperwork, so plan enough time, if you need to get onto a connecting flight. otherwise it's no problem.

i suggest you make copies of the letter saying you are approved - keep the copies with you fold them and tuck it in your passport - if you have probolems you can take that documentatioon to the embassy in the phillipines

the eco-friendly Card is in basic terms mandatory for coming into u . s . a . of america lower back whilst coming lower back. it is not mandatory whilst leaving u . s . a . of america and no person may even ask for it. all your dad desires is his valid passport.
