My dog Shadow, she is a female Bichon (i think thats how you spell it) She is old (13 years, had puppies when she was about 4 as well), and recently has grown several white bumps on her body, all over... I don't know what they are, and now today she started sort of chewing and licking them. Also, she has been following me around constantly now, she never has done this. This morning she slept on my couch in my room and stayed there until I left. She would NEVER come to my room because she could never go up/down stairs... Please help! Should I take her to the vet?

It sounds like what you're describing are skin growths (wart-like growths on the surface of the skin). It's hard to know based on description, but they're common in all breeds and I have seen them many times on Bichons. The older a dog is, the more prone to them they can be. Most growths are benign and are harmless, but some are cancerous and can be dangerous. Often dogs chew/bite at them, especially if they're bothered by them. Your vet can give you a better idea of what you're dealing with, and I would take her in and have her checked. The fact that her behaviors are different (and more clingy) can indicate that she's not feeling well, and since these have all come up recently it's especially important to get it looked at. Probably you're dealing with a normal skin growth, and most growths can be removed with surgery, but with Shadow's advanced age I would have your vet examine them and tell you if surgery is the answer (anesthesia can be riskier as dogs get older). Keep an eye on them until you can get in and note any changes in size, shape, and color. Your vet will probably ask how long they have been there and how quickly they've been growing.

Also watch her closely and make sure she's eating, drinking, peeing and pooping normally. If any of those are different than normal, get her in IMMEDIATELY. Good Luck!

I am not sure exactly what it could be but from what I just read, it could be a variety of things from cancer to nothing at all. I would definitly take her to the vet to make sure it is not life threatening or anything. as for the behavior change, dogs can get to where they either want to be closer as they get older or they will want to be left alone. but then again i am no vet so i would definitly ask a vet about the bumps and her behavior changes.

ANY behavior or out of the ordinary physical developments in an animal needs to go before a vet as soon as is possible---this dog is a much older dog and needs the assistance early on with any thing that develops because at advanced ages ---dogs as with people take longer to heal and it is somewhat harder for them to fight back against infections and the like

This baby---at this advanced age has given you love and devotion for quite some time now---it is time you give some of that back---take her to the care she is needing---go to the vet now

Maybe if he was up close to the kangol (dangerous i might add) the loud noise may have affected his ears, all the activity in and around the home may have stressed him out, put him somewhere calm and see if that helps him, his yard so to speak has been disrupted so that may account for the strange behaviour, take him to the vets if he doesnt improve, he could have an injury that isnt obvious to you and he cant tell you can he!
