I looked up on Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenu#Summary_of_the_Xenu_story) about Scientology and most of the things they say are the same as what Stone and Parker said. So is it true about the aliens and stuff!

Plus how do you feel about your poster boy being made fun of for being in the closet??

so thetaalways your saying that Wiki is a bogus website? They seem to be pretty bias about everything else I've ever seen on there. Plus you didn't answer the question, is it aliens and that other stuff that was on south park that you beleive in or what is it. Set me straight, this is a serious question, I'm not trying to bash scientology(although your post did give me the feeling you are bashing me!), I'm just confused and want to here the truth.

Ok, Theta won't so I'll answer instead...

Actually most scientologists don't know anything about Xenu as it is in their secret higher teachings - it is kept from its members (it costs a lot of money).

Guessing by the length Theta has been in, I would say she probably has done OT III, but they may have kept her back, or she didn't have the money I guess.

However, it is true scientologists do believe that, Travolta & Cruise are both above OT III for example.

I can also prove it undeniably:

Here is an extract in Hubbard's own handwriting confirmed by the Church's lawyers in a Court of Law:
http://www.xenu.net/archive/OTIII-scholar/

Here is another court freed document which concerns the whole of OTIII which came up in court during the Fishman Affidavit, you can check out other OT levels here too; see OTVIII for an interesting comment about Jesus.

Here is a summary from an ex-member:
http://www.xenu.net/archive/OTIII-scholar/atack-ot3-summary.txt

I leave you with this article, which might explain theta's answer.
" I also trained other Scientology PRs on how to handle the media, using material from Hubbard. This included how to respond to a question without answering, how to divert the issue, how to tell "an acceptable truth," how to stall for time, how to assume various emotional states to control another, how to "attack the attacker," how to take control of a conversation, how to introvert a person and how to "get the message across" (especially in an age of sound bites), how to help Scientology attorneys write inflammatory legal papers so the PR could then safely use the abusive phrases, and how to appear to be a religion."
Robert Vaughn Young PR Relations Officer for the Church of Scientology for 20 years."

I believe the Church of Scientology to be a destructive cult.

I have asked the same of Wikipedia before, but never got a response.

Vegas, thats great that you read it, I'm shocked. But what did you think of the story, and do you think this is what is given in OT III. I have proved it above in this answer through court released documents confirmed by the Church itself, did you read my answer?

I challenge you to find one link between the main critics and big financial backing, the only critic I can think of with money is Bob Minton, all the other critics are normal people spread out all over the world that are not part of any organisation. Most critics are ex-members that left because of the abuse and wrongs they suffered at the hands of the Church, other critics are mainly family members of scientologists or ex-scientologists. A very small few are people who seen the wrongs of scientologist as documented by the courts and have tried to help out. There is no big world conspiracy to trounce on scientology, that is right up there with elvis still being alive IMO aka utterly insane.

I saw the South Park episode too and have read the wikipedia article. However, you need to understand where this type of "information" originates. Scientology has a formidable and well financed opposition.

Scientology helps people live happier, healthier, drug free lives. However, there are people who oppose these social betterment activities. They get their message out through the media, internet etc. Scientology's main opponents are a multi-billion dollar psycho-pharma racket that provides no cures for people, and instead kills or destroys the lives of many it purports to help.

There are currently 17 million children on highly addictive mind altering psychiatric drugs, over 250,000 people have been sexually abused by psychiatrists and psychologist, over 100,000 people die every year in psychiatric institution, up to 10,000 people are killed every year by psychiatrists with electroshock, every 75 seconds another innocent person is incarcerated by psychiatry, children as young as 6 years old have been killed by psychiatric restrains and approximately 100,000 Americans have died from "anti-psychotic" psychiatric drugs.

Scientology is an applied relgious philosophy that millions of people around the world are using to improve their lives and gain spiritual release. Scientology is not a dogmatic religion -- it's something that people of all faiths use and appy. Scientology supports numerous organizations that work to get people off drugs, rehabilitate criminals, teach kids how to learn, teach people right from wrong, and fight for psychiatric reform.

These are the aims of Scientology: "A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights and where man is free to rise to greater heights."

"Tom You Gotta Come Out Of The Closet, Oh Muh Gad."

Great episode. Great show. They did that with Mormons, too, and that was all true. They just take something ridiculous and prove how crazy it is.

If you want to believe a satiricle cartoon that relies on riduling
religions and various individuals for it's entertainment value and laughs, ( yuk yuk) , that's your choice.
If you was to seek out bogus websites to find "information" to back up your favorite TV show, that is also your choice.
As long as you are aware that that IS exactly what you are doing.
Knock yourself out !

As to how this activity "affects" us Scientologists...................
well, we are too busy doing what we actually do (helping mankind ) to give it any of our very valuable time and atttention.
Which is very fortunate for those who are actually trying to do something about it.

Personally, you'll have to excuse me while I stifle yet another yawn.
