Nietzsche declared "God is dead", he was an athiest philosopher.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Christian philosopher, answered ....
"Nietzsche is Dead".
Which of these two statements is wrong? Personally, I don't have much faith in Nietzsche.

Because Nietzsche was an Athiest. He thought God was just a human idea, part of superstition...and leaving him behind is part of human evolution. Reaching a point when we no longer need god.
In Nietzsche's "Thus Spake Zarathustra", Zoroaster fittingly proclaims "God is Dead". Zoroaster was the prophet of the ancient persian religion Zoroastrianism, the base of all abrahamic religion and the origination of the western monotheistic God...in Nietzsche way of thinking the first to give life to god.

What an education. Thank you for that link. It really doesn't change the bottom line, though. He blames humanity for "killing" God in their hearts and minds, but he is wrong. If that were possible, I would have done it by myself....before I got to know Him.
I thank God almost daily for His amazing grace and His patience toward me....
Again, thanks for the link.

Neitzer was a self-proclaimed atheist.
He believe that it was more logical for make to focus on natural processes than supernatural ones.

He spoke for himself. To him God IS dead.
The question really should be : Do you believe him? If so how much?
