It has to do with survival. Peace being the hottest commodity to ensure survival of OUR country. I don't know much about politics but an educated old timer who has "fought" in Vietnam once told me "If it is convenient for us to help this country now then we will help that country to ensure peace. But if we have to fu@k them up tomorrow then we have to fu@k them up. We have to look out for our back. We are the most hated country. It all boils down to survival. Air is free, peace is not."
