I learned a few things the hard way.
1. Get it fixed if it's not already. It smells less when it does pee on stuff and it doesn't do it as often.
2. It's not a dog so don't rub it's face in it. Cat's are vindictive and it'll piss all over everything to spite you.
3. Don't leave clothes on the floor. It'll piss all over them. So I guess just keep the house fairly tidy so it won't have anywhere to do it.
4. Clean the litter box every day or two days. If it's full or smells bad your cat will piss all over stuff.

Your idea might be it..that the twins' mobility is stressing your cat out and he feels a need to exert his power in his territory, by marking it. As a rule, cats hate change and they can feel very threatened by these small, clumsy moving, noisy creatures (the twins), especially if they are following him. There's no doubt that is affecting your cat, whether it is the cause of the peeing problem or not. Another possibility is that he no longer feels secure to pee in his box in it's current location. Cats need to be able to feel safe about where they do their business, because in the wild they are very vulnerable to predators when toileting. If, for instance, the litterbox is in a small room or space that the cat went into, was followed by the toddlers, and then felt threatened and/or trapped...that would be enough reason for a cat to avoid using that litter box again. If this is the possible cause, try putting the box in a new, out of the way location, that allows for escape, but that he cannot be followed to. (Be sure to show him the new location!) Even something as small as a situation where you keep your litterbox in the laundry room and you got a new washer that makes an unfamiliar noise, can turn a cat against a particular litterbox/location. Either way, extra attention and assurances can go a long way with a cat. Try to find a regular time of day that you can give your full attention to your cat, that he can count on every day, and he may come around and will certainly be happier about the twins' "appearance" in his domain. Good luck!

Did you get your cat when it was really young? sounds like the mommy cat didn't teach it how to use the litter box. so now you have to teach it everytime it has an accident say no and bring it to the litter box it take alot of Patience, Also you have to clean the area really good so it cant smell it and wont use that spot again. just read it in Pet Pals Book MY CAT.Good Luck
