Yes, it does, you should have more stamina and not tire so easily after a while. Adding more protein to your diet should help with the fatigue you my be feeling by helping to build muscle. Exercising should also sleep better at night. Remember to drink plenty of water. Take care.

you should eat a good meal and then have a nap
to give your body a chance to rebuild the muscles you were using

it does give you energy, just not immediately afterwards. after you sleep you will get the energy

Shorten your workout time.
You may be overdoing it.
