Almost any flower will do. If you want them to really hit her Heart, surround them with a lot of "Babies breath". It's that tiny little white flower that looks like they are floating on air. They make all the women catch their breath with Haw! I guarantee she will love them!!

Every woman is like a flower, unique. So the best way to find that out would be - ASK HER!

Not garage forecourt ones!!!!
If they are from a supermarket, take the time to re wrap them.
If it is a special occasion go to a florist and have a good bouquet made up.
I love most flowers, but lillies make a good statement or sunflowers.....

Depends on the woman and the message you want to convey...
Just my opinion...
Roses --- romantic
carnations --- friendship
tulips --- "you're special", "congratulations"
bouquet of assorted --- thanks
lily --- thinking of you
=============
Sweet.... I do remember hearing about girl receiving a house full of red roses from her boyfriend for Valentines' Day (the first one together)
But, funny....the problem... the girl was allergic to roses!

I like roses and carnations........but it is very much a matter of personal preference.
Also depends on your relationship.
Do a web search for "meaning of flowers".

I have to say (and you can even get photos I've heard) SPEAKING ROSES, if money is no object ($70-100 for customized dozen).
But Heck I love roses so I say, get her what she loves, then you will know She's going to LOVE your thoughtfulness.
