The best golfers in the world now lift weights, so that should tell you something. Now they are tailoring their workouts to promote flexibility and "core" strength -- not building bulk. So if you are working out to add bulk, you should probably think about tweaking your routine. First, consider pilates. Second, move to less weight with more reps. Third, time your routine around your golf schedule giving your muscles plenty of time to heal.
You mentioned that your arms are tired -- that leads me to believe you are working on biceps, triceps and shoulders. Definitely ease those down in favor of the more core muscles of abs, delts, quads, etc...
Good luck on the golf team!

Well, you are probably the best looking guy on the golf course if you have been lifting weights, and you will have a heck of a drive, but you can just practice your putting to WIN . Short game!

The important thing you must do is stretch, lifting weights will not hurt your swing, but stiffness will. If your arms are tired then try altering your workout, such as moving from heavy weights-low reps, to light weights-high reps. This provides some muscle conditioning and will increase your muscle stamina. Overall cardio will also improve your game.

Tiger and Annika both lift weights, that is a pretty strong reason to lift weights. I wouldn't try to play with my arms tired though.

i would stop lifting weights excesivley. i wouldnt stop alltogether, but just tone it down. give your muscles time to relax. belive me, nothing is worse than trying to swing a club with sore arms, legs, stomache, or anything else for that matter.....good luck

i hear pros always do it after play, and yeah, stretching before and after is a must.
i've played so-so with sore shoulders and arms, but if your abs and legs are cooked, forget it.
