It depends on how you look at it...
compromising, doing things for them, wanting to make them happy ( but not at your expense)
cooperating are all signs of working together for the sake of love and respect of each other. If it feels like a job then NO...
if you feel like you're giving all of the time then NO..If he's not giving in return.
we all do things for the people we love, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Should you have to work for someone's love? Absolutely not. Love should be freely given. However, you should have to work for the relationship. The work in a relationship comes in the form of: communication, solving problems, finances, children, running the household, making the other feel secure needed and wanted, good sex (yes it can be work!), etc.
In my opinion part of the reason the divorce rate is so high now is because people have forgotten how to actually WORK for something they need/want. It is so much easier to just give up, and replace what isn't working, rather than to work to fix the problems. People have gotten really lazy, and expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter.

Yes, I think you should 'work' for someone's love. By showing them how sincere you are and how much they mean to you. Because if someone just loved you right off the bat, then they obviously don't guard their heart too much and will be inclined to 'love' just anybody. True love though, is something you have to work for and develop.

You should not work for someone's love. You should never try to make someone fall in love with you, or change for you.
But you definately need to work for a relationship to flourish.

Love is a work in progress.
Each person in the relationship has to work at keeping that love alive.
If one does and the other does not, then that love dies.

You know the answer to that...NO....if you have to work at it then its not love....love should come naturally, and you shouldn't have to bend over backwards to please someone....just be yourself and if it works, fine....and if it doesn't...forget it.
