I was wondering if anyone knows the Maine laws about siblings of the opposite sex sleeping in the same room? At what age do they have to have their own rooms? I have a 2 yr old and a little girl due in november and i just wanted to know if anyone could tell me the answer to this or if they could direct me to a website with info on it. Thanks!

I was told that there is a certain age at which they need to be in their own rooms. She won't be in the same room with him anyway until she starts sleeping better at night. And my son is a deep sleeper anyway.

I am unsure of the Maine laws, but in Indiana, the children can stay in the same room until they are of school age, and even then they can be in the same room if there is a divider in place. I would suggest that you call your local DFC office, they would be able to tell you the most accurate thing.

There are regulations that do actual that when babies are previous a diverse age they might prefer to now no longer share a room. are you able to think of of a 13 twelve months ld female sharing a room together with her youthful brother, or be it any incorrect way around? I surely have all sons yet even at that as without postpone as my little ones have been older I had to bypass to a miles extra clever residing house as they'd now no longer share rooms with the aid of fact they necessary their privateness. this would perhaps be doubly so for opposite intercourse siblings and from a good youthful age.

is your 2 year old a girl? if so they can usually share a room for the first few years. Usually for the first 6 months most parents have the crib in the same room as they do. If you've got a boy and a girl then keep them in their own rooms.

Isn't that up to the parents? They ARE brother and sister.... as long as nothing inappropriate is going on, i don't think there's any laws forbidding that (not that I'm aware of anyway).
I knew a 18 year old boy and a 15 year girl....not very well-off...had to share a room....

I don't think there's a law for that type of thing. Do whatever you want. My twin brother and I shared a room until we were 5 or 6 and we turned out fine.

In CA, the law is if one sibling is at puberty or past they have to have seperate rules, i wouldnt be supprised if the law is the same or very similar. However i dont think anyone is really going to come knocking to come check.
