Talk to an adult who knows your dad about what's going on. If your mom doesn't live with you guys, talk to an aunt or uncle you really trust. Explain how frustrated you are. They may be able to offer a little more information about the situation and reassure you. Maybe they could even talk to your dad with you to help him see your side of things.
Your dad is going through a lot right now and he probably doesn't know how to deal with everything. He's probably bored with his life and frustrated as well. This may seem strange but maybe he'd like to take some classes at a local college. They'll keep him busy and may give him an edge in his job search.

First off, who's house is he occupying? Is it his? If you're in his house, you sound a bit selfish. If it's yours, then you should be invested in finding a job for this man and getting him up and out again. Introduce him to online job sites. I'm assuming that he's already looking at classifieds when he reads the paper? If not, get him to.

be patient with him he is doing his job as a parent, and once you get a little older you'll understand..Its good that he want s to be involved in your life..so many kids don't even know what their dad looks like. So do as you're told and I am positive that things will run a lot smoother! I promise!

try doing things with him, to get his mind off of things, I know yuck, but spend time with him, watching T.V., play a game, or both of you go for a walk. This shows him that you care about him, and you know he has concerns, but if you bug him enough... get the picture..
