He is well behaved most of the time but I think it is when he is bored that he starts doing stuff that he shouldn't. He knows it is bad because he hides when I see it and he thinks I won't know it was him. Any suggestions?

show him and smack him, they olny real way to teach a diog is hitting it and it doesnt have to be hard as long as they learn, bulldogs are very hard headed

Like you said he is bored. Try doing more fun activities with him, walking, agility, frisbee throwing. Make sure he has fun things to do and he will not have as much energy left to get into things that he shouldn't. Also buy some kong toys, they are practically indestructable. You stuff treats inside them and they have fun getting the treats out.
