Should a 1 strike law be put in place for sex offenders?

In my past work experiences, this is an issue that has come up many times working with different kids in different back grounds. Over the years here's what I've come to:
The problem with the term "sex offender" is that it's too vague and general. That means that the 18 year old who had sex with the 16 year old is registered the same way as the man who rapes children. It needs to be revised. A young person having consensual sex with a minor should not be lumped in the same category as a serial rapist or pedophile. I personally believe anyone who molesters children should be treated the same way as murderers. I've worked with kids who have been molested, and many of them have psychological problems for years, and as a result, anger issues, trust issues, etc. Also with working with children, you see some wrongfully accuse some adults, either belligerent step daughters who have something against their new step father, or what ever, it also happens and in society we sometimes have the tendency to believe the child even when there is no proof.

Yes and for Drunk Drivers as well those crimes are the kind where we would not to allow thenm the chance to make more victims and since the have already demonstarted the ability to do it once they will strike again so I say the first time you get caught will be the last time society has to worry about you commiting this crime agian!!!

Sex offenders should be physically castrated on the first account. It would put a fear on anyone who had the audacity to offend sexually.
And guarantees no repeat offenses. Also imprisonment could be shortened until healing is complete.
