Nicole,

The best way to start is to check with a few local Oral Surgeons. They usually do better implants than a "regular" dentist might. The Oral surgeon pulls teeth, works on jaw bone grafts and other "major oral surgical procedures". Some do implants, some don't. But they can evaluate if you are a candidate for implants, then do the work and monitor your recovery better than a regular dentist can. Implants can be tricky and are mucho expensive, so you want a trusted and very experienced Dr. to do the work, and pre-evaluation, you may not be a candidate, he'll know for sure. Good luck whatever you decide! Take care.

Dr. Parks in Seymour, CT. He is AWESOME. We drive an hour just to get our dental work done. He implanted a fake tooth in my wife's mouth and you cant tell it's fake. He is very affordable and flexible with billing. He also is a cat lover.
