He can do anything.

A very witty question Bill, omnipotence can not be negated by omnipotence, omnipotence is complete in itself, so this question proves the omnipotence of God in the form of infinitive action or cause and effect.

The larger the rock, the more strength required to lift it, the appropriate measure of strength supplied, so increase the size of the rock.

We eventually come to a conclusion, that there is no limit in either task, because each and every facet of the Supreme is unlimited.

The limited can never understand the limits of the unlimited, because there aren't any.

First of all, it is unbiblical to say that God is omnipotent or can do anything. There are verses in the Bible that he cannot do!

God cannot Lie:

TITUS 1:2 - In hope of eternal life, which God, that CANNOT LIE, promised before the world began;

Impossible to God to lie:

HEBREWS 6:18 - That by two immutable things, in which it was IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

God will not change:

JAMES 1:27 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is NO VARIABLENESS, NEITHER SHADOW OF TURNING.

Now if all of these verses prove that God cannot lie, it is impossible for Him to lie or change then He is not omnipotent just like most of the guys believe here.

These verses will also answer the question about the rock thing He could not lift. Moreover, St. Paul has a reminder for those who have a wild imagination.

ROMANS 12:3 - For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, NOT TO THINK OF HIMSELF MORE HIGHLY THAN HE OUGHT TO THINK; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

this is just my opinio. God makes a mountain, Jesus is God but as a man and without a miracle could not lift the rock or mountain. yeah i guess so then. Jesus is Gods Son as God, like God, Go the Son.

ask Jesus into your life and be born again by the power of the Gospel (an actual real life event in your real life) if you do this in a prayer sincerely God will answer you! you have to truely seek then God will answer!

He is the rock!!! Unfortunately you have asked a very ignorant question. You might fit in with Christianity but we don't have any room for your kind of ignorance. If it is so ignorant to believe in God, I would prefer to be the most ignorant person in Heaven. I guess you might vie for the position of being the most intelligent person in Hell. If I were you, I would be careful. He can not only pick up the rock, but he can put it down anywhere he wants to. You could get caught in between a rock and a hard place.

Can God almighty create a thing which he cannot destroy?

God cannot do anything and everything. There are so many things that God almighty cannot do.

Can God be born? One of the characteristics of God is that He is not born. If we say that God almighty was born, then there was a time when He didn't exist. And if there was a time when He didn't exist, For Him to come into existence, somebody has to make Him exist. So there is somebody else who is really God not Him. If we say that God almighty cannot be born, we are also saying that The Creator cannot become His creation. Because creation means what is in need of a Creator. To you be a creature, means that there has to be someone who create you. So if God became His creation, that means He is now in need of a creator. THIS IS IMPOSSIBILITY AND ABSURDITY!

Can God create a stone which is too heavy for Him to lift?
God almighty cannot be unjust. The moment when God become unjust, he ceases to be God. Because it's one of quality of God almighty that he is JUST.

The Qur’an says:
"Allah is never unjust In the least degree." [Al-Qur’an 4:40]

God cannot be cruel.

God almighty cannot throw me out of his domain. He can obliterate me. He can kill me. He can vanish me. But he cannot throw me out of his domain. WHERE WILL HE THROW ME? Everything belongs to him.

God cannot create a tall-short man. Yes he can make a tall man short. But no longer will he remains tall. But you cant have a tall-short man. You can have a medium man, who is neither tall nor short. But you cant have a man who is tall and short at the same time.

nowhere does the Quran says that God can do everything, Quran says in several places that God has the power over all things. There is world of a difference between "Allah can do everything and Allah have the power over everything"
Allah says in holy Quran (85:16)
"He does what He intends (or wills)"

Whatever he intends he can do. But God does only Godly things. He does not do Ungodly things.

When we muslims say "God almighty can do all things", we are talking about all things that are consistent in Him being God. Not included the absurdity, impossibility and the things which make "God" no longer "God".

ISLAM HAS LOGICAL ANSWER FOR THIS QUESTION

seems u r confused or else trying to confuse others. god can make a rock of any size still he can lift it . i will explain u this in terms of science if u can understand! E=MC2 this is mass energy equivalence. as god is the only energy that made this universe possible. he can make a very big stone possible but still he can lift b'cos even when the stone is made of his total energy then if he wills he can move on his own

It would not happen because the Bibles says that faith moves mountains so presumably rocks as well. So why would God want to try and lift it when all he has to say is "Faith move that great big rock as I cannot and Jesus is busy changing water into wine.at the moment".

Not being disrespectful folk.

yes, but then he would invent a big pole and a smaller round rock, create a balance and lift it easily
