I have this guy friend who i dated back in high school. Over the years, we have kept in contact on and off. At one point he was in a relationship and she didn't agree with our friendship so we ended it. Five years later, we run into eachother again. He claims he is single, but everytime we make plans to hang out, he never comes thru. He'll say he'll call but doesn't. So I dont bother to call either. It seems like he calls me every 3 months, but i never see him, then he won't call for awhile. I know he's not married cause i've called his house. I'm confused. why wont he hang out with me? I dont see why he would lie about being with someone cause i wouldn't care if he had a girl. I use to think maybe he's gay, but i wouldn't care about that either. I do find him attractive but we just use to be good friends. we were too young to get it on before, so nothing happned but friendship and kissing.

He sounds quite confused. If I had to guess though, I'd say that he is simply keeping you on the back burner. He has a gf or two that he is really going after and dating. He fears that those relationships might not work out, so he plants the seed with you in case he needs it someday.

If he liked you, there is not much of a reason that he would not want to come see you...

Deeds say more then the words. Get the point, he does not want to be in the relation with you.
