The best fighter is not Matt Hughes.....He lost by BJ pen by an Arm bar and he got lucky with Carlos Newton. Newton was choking Hughes and Hughes did not tap out he fell asleep. That caused him to slam Newton to ground, knocking him out. He woke up before Newton and won the fight. He admitted himself. George St. Pier will beat him up in the rematch...

So the best fighter is.........
Well let me say first he will be coming to UFC pretty soon to fight Chuck if Chuck beats Babalu (had like 10 straight wins)

His name is "THE axe murderer" Wanderlai Silva...

Frank Shamrock retired from the UFC undefeated but straight up got his tail handed to him by Bas Rutten in Pride. Anyone that says Ken Shamrock needs their heads examined. Chuck Liddel is a stand-up fighter and no doubt a knockout artist. All his losses (Horn, Couture, Jackson) all came from the ground. On his feet, Liddel is deadly. But he knows his weakness is the ground, so he avoids it like the plague. The best all-around fighter needs to be hell on his feet and hell on the ground both offensively and defensively. That being said, today, pound for pound, the best fighter in the UFC is without question Matt Hughes.

Best UFC fighter
TIm Sylvia, 6"8 265lbs good striker, good wrestler, would kill chuck, who tkoed tito, and tito out jiu-jistued matt hughes, and "joyce" doesnt exsist.

Matt Hughes 5"9 169lbs best pound for pound fighter right now who might be beaten by GSP.

Tim is 100lbs bigger than matt and almost a foot taller, you cant be serious thinking matt would beat him?

Joyce Gracie is always a safe bet.
Everyone will hate me but doesn't Joyce Gracie have the best UFC record ever?

I like Ken Shamrock a lot too. He is an A class competitor.

Matt Hughes, hes good all-around the guys got it all. Dominates his weight class. Liddell is good because hes got heavy hands, great counterpunching, and takedown defense. That's probably why hes the champ because he's only faced opponents that are better at ground fighting than standup. That's why I can't wait til he fights Silvia in Nov. gonna be a great fight.
