If you have a relationship with God through Jesus then you have an assurance of an eternal perfect existence, although the nature of what that will be like is unclear; it is indescribable from anywhere other than an immortal perspective. The Christian Bible is in no doubt about this continued existence.
I cannot comment on your situation as I don't know you but my own experience will clarify my beliefs. My mother died last year aged 88. Both she and I were Christians. I believe that I shall meet my mother again but will see her not as a frail, sick, elderly lady - instead she will have the perfect immortal body that God always intended at creation.
I believe this with a total certainty that the Bible tells me is my birth-right from the Holy Spirit as a child of God.
So, I do not look forward to constant physical deterioration followed by death and rotting, but instead anticipate a perfect, pain-free, purposeful, eternal existence in fellowship with my God - and all others who believe as I do.
My sympathy for you in your bereavement.

I think that you're correct when you say "Once you are dead, that's it". I'm sorry, but you will not see your mother again.
However, it's very true that her effect on you will persist, and you can do things in your own life to honor her memory and to continue her influence on the world. Right now you are her agent in the world, in a sense. Live your best for her.

I'm sorry about your mother. Very sorry.
The Bible says if you accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and ask Him to cancel your sins, and live for Him, you will go to Heaven.
I hope you see your mother there.
If she went to Heaven, she would not be 64. She will be made perfect as Jesus is. Some questions just don't have answers. Have faith and will see later.

I would say yes, but it also has alot of factors. How could you describe your shared experiences with her. Did you and her watch alot of the same fantasy movies. Was she comfortable to be around. Could you imagine what her personailty looks like and keep that focus. I think you will find each other on some level though.

My condolences to you and your family for your untimly loss of your mother.
my responce to your question is from The Christian Faith perspective.
In heaven all souls, who make it there, will be equal, as far as there being no age..that is my pov. No one knows for sure what it will be like there. As far as individual relationships, it is likly that we will know our friends from here and they will be recognisable...beyond that it is a mystery that will be revealed in due time to all who get there.
Here is a link to a page from my website that address some of what you ask. It was prompted by a similer question to me. It is my Heaven page:

There is a link to a page I call Grandfather which was also a question to me from a young boy.
All honest seekers welcome

Heaven knows no age. If your mother was saved and had accepted Jesus as her savior and you the same, then you most assuredly will be together again.

Please do not dwell on this dear one... i dont kno if we could even handle the full abundance of Gods Plan... For Now rest in knowing that there was a purpose for her living as well as leaving this earth... NOONE ON THIS EARTH KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS... and for all you who think you kno... PLEASE keep seeking ... because your version of GODS DECISION is most likely tainted.....

There is life after death......one thing you have to have faith and believe you will see her again. I don't believe there is age up there. Your soul will know her soul and you will be reunited. Have faith my friend, have faith.
