ROFL!! I know what you mean, I was thinking the same thing the other day because we had a Starbucks inside the grocery store here and they just recently opened a drive thru directly across the street. I thought they moved to their own store and they would close the one in the grocery but nope- they exist happily right across the street from each other- what's worse is within a three block radius there are at least 3 other small independently owned coffee stands. And if you keep on driving down the road, you will see at least one on just about every corner. I know people like their coffee around here but come on- and Satrbucks is eventually going to drive everyone else out. In Seattle it is crazy because Starbucks owns Seattle's Best Coffee and the shops have not been closed or changed so you can actually stand in the middle of an intersection with rocks and hit at least two Starbuck's and a Seattles best even if you don't have a good pitching arm.
Besides the stores, you can go into just about any gas station/ convenience store , mini mart and grocery store and buy a cold Starbucks frappaccino from the refrigerated section.
"What are we doing tomorrow , Brain??"
"The same thing we do everyday, Pinky, try to take over the world, mwaahahahaha!!!"
Sorry, could not resist! :)

lol... you sound slightly perturbed about this situation. Why won't you go to starbucks anymore? If there are that many little startbucks stores, that means they're doing well, right? So why not go there? Oh...right... because of the 8 mile long lines coming out of each store.... i completely understand where you're coming from. But hey, it's the same thing with McDonald's. Within an 6 mile radius, I can count at least 15. Some of them are literally right down the street from each other. and everybody still goes to McDonalds. I mean, even I'm guilty of that one. That's just the way society is, unfortunately. Once something because popular, they suddenly make a million stores so everyone can have one of whatever is currently popular. Sad... We're all a bunch of sheep.

Have you ever seen Lewis Black's comedy routine about Starbucks? According to what you've described above, Lewis Black would tell you that you're already in hell if you see a Starbucks on one corner then cross the street just to see another. I believe he said that hell was in Houston.

I know exactly what you mean! There are 2 Starbucks across the street from each other not to far from me and another one 2 blocks from that... it's crazy! It's like brainwashing or something. They must be pretty determined to take over the world!..LOL

I think that it is best answered by a "Simpsons" eposide: they go to the mall, and there is one Starbucks. By the time they get out of the mall, the whole mall is just Starbucks stores.
I also agree with LindaLou
Long live Timmies!

LOL! Starbucks coffee is yummy! People like it. THUS people open up Starbucks places because lots of people like it. You are right though, there are a bunch of Starbucks places. There are also a bunch of Dunken Doughnuts. I would totally name a state Starbucks.

Ugh, it is like countries preparing for the Olympics, there has to be a bathroom at every certain amount of distance.
I hate it that people are complaining about gas prices, yet they are paying much more for coffee ($4 a cup), if if you calculated it per gallon.
Starbucks is taking over the US!!!
Argh. ^_^

Starbucks is taking over the world. It is actually owned by space aliens who are getting us addicted to their drug, and forming a wide network of command posts canvassing the globe. Then, in 10 more years, they will shut down all Starbucks stores and we will all die from withdrawal.

Your question makes me laugh. It is true. Sorry, nothing we can do. If it bothers you don't visit the establishment. It all has to do with supply and demand. As long as the demand is there, Starbucks will be there.
