I have recently lost a potential boyfriend and an old friend when everything seemed to work just fine. I must have said something they didn't like, but I can't figure out what. Can you give me any hint?plz

When speaking with a guy, try to avoid:
1) Centering the conversation in a way that nothing discussed directly relates to him. Try to tease his ego, don't move away from it altogether. Obviously, if he won't give you advice with problems you may have, he isn't worth much... but quite generally, most guys get bored discussing something that doesn't relate to them with their girlfriend for over 20 minutes...
2) Don't be too intimate, as this might make him feel pressured to up the relationship, something he might not be ready for just yet. Don't give him signals you don't mean to give.
3) Don't be too distant, or play hard-to-get, most guys hate that; if you are interested, or have been for some time, go for it; he won't be waiting for you for much longer.
4) As grumpy as you may feel, try to hide it until he asks, or, if you do say something ill-tempered, apologize and explain why. You have every right to feel upset about something, but be careful not to let him think it's because of him if it isn't; being cryptic about it, or being constantly grumpy, will make him jump to conclusions - usually he will feel that you don't quite fancy him as much as you did, and might become more distant.
5) Don't tease him too much; you might find it as just a joke, but, especially online, he might be feeling quite uncomfortable, and it would be difficult to tell that he actually is. Avoid topics of discussion, or other statements, that might make him uncomfortable and more distant.
6) If you feel he is growing more distant, jump in and tell him how you feel about him; if he really is growing distant, waiting will only make things worse - it's time for action. Life is short; don't be embarassed when trying for something you really want.
7) Don't put him in a situation where he might be pressured to lie; lying causes mutual distrust, and the value of the relationship might go down, for both individuals. He might feel it would be best to end the relationship there and then.

Do you always ask him "what are you thinking"
that is so d*** annoying!!

And if he asks you where you want to eat, then for goodness sakes don't say it doesn't matter. And don't tell him where ever he would like to go. Tell him something. Anything. He is trying to make you happy by letting you choose where "you" would like to go.

If these happen only once in a while ie once or twice a month, then it's not that bad.

Any more and it grounds for divorce (joke) ; )

3. Never be sad because of them
4. Never be mad because of them
5. Understand thier needs and thier work
6. Be considerate
7. Never ask if they love you
8. Never ask if they notice things about you
9. DO NOT BE JEALOUS!!!!!!
10. Don't pester them
11. ALWAYS BE HAPPY TO SEE THEM OR HEAR FROM THEM !!
12. NEVER COMPLAIN!!!
13. tell them how wonderful they are everyday
14. Tell them dirty little things you want to do with them
15. When they can't do something tell them it's OK

you need to be more detailed with some of the things you said, as it could be almost anything.
such as i'm already with someone or lets just be friends.
i have a mental illness, or other disease.
