I am a 44 year old female. There is nothing wrong to ask a question like this. My face is oval also. But any input is good to have. There is one thing i like to say. If your hair is longer then I advise you to cut it. Sometimes longer hair make us look older then what we are. The shorter look will look good on that oval face. It will compliment you in a nice way/ also you will look younger/ But not for those reason be-known. It doesn't make a different if you are black are white, I do believe some female look very sexy with a short cut. We tend to lean toward a women with longer hair alot. Hair doesn't make you sexy. It's how you work it.

If you have a high forehead you need whispy bangs just a little not the bangs like 3 yr olds. Some you can sweep over to the side if you like.
If you have a oval (wide)you need something to come toward your face .. Nothing all one lenght that will make you look long faced.
The slim part of your face you need something going away so it will all even out

I am cosmetologist , and you are lucky to have an oval face because most people dont, even though they think they do. Oval is the perfect face shape. That is what we in the beauty field are taught. people with oval shape can use any hair style. Best advice would be ask your stylist and look in some books or magazines.

older women look younger with long hair. think about teri hatcher who used to have short hair when she was younger so she could look older in "lois and clark" but now she has long hair and that is her secret to looking younger! so grow your hair out and don't worry about haircuts!
