you know what to do. Concentrate your mind on your mantra and when other thoughts come inside don't hold on to them or push them away, acknowledge them and then refocus on your mantra.
Try to gain a deeper sense of understanding about why you are focusing on somthing other than your goal. What is your mind trying to say to you? But don't work on it, concentrate on the mantra and let it come to you.

Try this form of meditation:
1)Close your eyes and say "Speak Lord your servent is listening"
2)Now just listen! Do not recite any mantras or verbal prayers etc. Just try in silent to listen to God. When you get 'monkey mind' thinking of boyfriend or what you did yesterday etc. then say the Mantra words "Jesus I trust in you". Then sit in silence again - if 'monkey mind' happens again repeat "Jesus I trust in you".
3) If you do this over time even months and years your life will change. I would advise an hour a day every day. You will start noticing over time the peace and joy of God.
Don't be to hard on yourself if 'monkey mind' keeps happening it will pass over time. Just repeat the mantra words "Jesus I trust in you"

First of all, don't feel guilty. It happens to everyone.
When you picture him, acknowlege that and then let it go. If you have problems just letting the image/thought go... picture putting it in a bubble and letting it float up into the sky or something like that. When you visualize it going away, it helps you focus on your mantra.
It will take some time, but practice makes perfect. :) Good luck!

Please see my advice in the singles and dating category. I would like to add here that meditation is not concentration, although concentration does come as a byproduct of meditation. In other words, one should not try to concentrate, but to keep the object of meditation as a subcurrent of thought. EVentually, all other thoughts will disappear, leaving only complete absorbtion in the object of meditation.

Maybe your guy is like God to you and that's why you can't stop picturing him when you meditate.
