She may be a little skittish about her new surroundings. She may not like her food if it's different than what she's used to. She may have a blockage in her gut, but she'd be throwing up if that were the case. My best guess is that she's just not used to her new home yet.

Much Love!!

Make sure she is drinking water and watch her when she goes outside to make sure she is eliminating. She could be eating when you aren't looking. Some dogs do that. Chances are good she will calm down and eat in the next few days. If she stops having bowel movements and is showing signs of illness then take her to the vet. Has she been vaccinated against parvo? If not then take her to the vet asap. This could be the only chance you have to save her life because Parvo is a fast killer and leaves very few survivors.

It's likely that your dog is stressed because of the change in environment. Try offering little "treats" -either store bought food or something you're eating. Remember, your dog will not starve to death-he'll eat when he feels more secure. That might not be when you're watching. Maybe he would like privacy. Try leaving his food down at night, when everything's quiet. Make sure toleave cold, fresh water down at all times. Eventually, your dog will socialize with you and adapt to what you consider a normal routine.Relax and enjoy his company=take walks with him and play.

well she might just be nervous.. my dog came from the pound and had the same problem.. once she gets used to her souroundings and gets hungry enough she'll eat .. might wanta check with previous owner on type of dog food she is used to ... just give her some space new owners especially kids like to constantly handle new pets and that tends to scare them a little.. you wanta show em love of course but make sure they are getting they space too.... good luck.. if she dont start eating in a couple of days you might wanta call the vet just to be on the safe side

The other people who are answering your question are semi-correct.She may just be nervous of her new surroundings. If she continues not to eat, I would take her to a veterinarian. She may just have a virus, or she may have an unknown medical condition. That combined with the stress of a new home could be causing her to not eat. :)

the indicators that you record should be of maximum something...even parvo...at the same time as domestic dogs do not drink water that's amazingly risky...they could dehydrate somewhat right away and with the vomiting and the diarrhea...it is going to happen even swifter... my advice to you need to be to get him to an emergency vet NOW waiting to day after today may be too late...

It might take a day or 2 for the puppy to adjust. If its a small breed puppy, you have to be really care though. If they don't eat they can get hypoglycemic very quickly.

Ask the previous owner what food he was using. Dogs have likes and dislikes too
