I don't have any siblings, but I have relatives who've done that to their kids. There was Dondra Marie, Douglas Vernon, Darla Marcene and Daniel Victor. So the boys had exactly the same initials and so did the girls. I don't think they've ever really minded.
I knew a couple that were both writers though, and they named their boys Reed and Wright and their girls Storey and Paige. That was neat, but kinda sad, too.

My family isn't, but I know a family that named four of their kids with J's. And what a pickle they're in now! The last one they named without the J because it was such a inconvienience. Everytime they call for one of the kids they all respond, I guess because of the J! I don't really like themes. I'd rather find a name I like, or its meaning, and name my child based on that. If it's what you want, then go for it! There isn't anything morally wrong with it. Just remember: when naming a child, think if you'd want that name. Don't go on a Tolkien naming rampage..those kinds of themes are what I am very against.

My mothers family started this "tradition" her and her siblings all end in ie, like joannie judy tommy ricky larry sally nancy
Well my mom and her sisters kind of stuck with that and they like chose a letter, my mom chose K, we are Kimberly, Karl, Kerri, and Kristi, some of my aunts did this also, like the letter S fam is Shanon, Shane, Shawn, Shad and the T fam is Tanya, Tara, and Tasha, and the C fam is Christina and Craig. None of us kids though kept up with this. My kids all have diff letters.

In the girls names in our family, my dad attempted to create a theme- my sisters first name is a variation of my middle name, then he tried to make my next sisters first name a variation of my middle sisters middle name. I would never do that but to each his own. When my youngest brother was born, we figured out that the initials to all of our first names spelled out my mom's first name- they say it was not done on purpose!
It is interesting - but I don't like being cutesy and matchy with names.

My oldest brother is named after my dad, my second oldest brother is named after a friend of my dad's and mom's, my sister's first name is my mom's middle name, and I was 'blessed' with the name of my dad's ex-girlfriend, as I came to find out about a year ago.
So, we're all named after someone from the family, or someone close to the family.

i in my opinion think of that it could be a good suggestion to have the themed names as midsection names, yet i think of it ought to be somewhat bizarre to have them as first names, until you're a hippy.

No. I've always hated when parents did that to their kids just because they thought it was cute. Naming children isn't a game, it's the label they will wear for the rest of their lives.

There are 7 of us: 4 boys, 3 girls. We are all children of Italian immigrant parents. So we all have very typical italian names. As far as my 6 kids, they all have Bible names.

No. But I think I was born before that became fashionable. My son's friends who are named that way HATE it.
I do know (knew) some ladies named Faith, Hope, Charity and something else similar. They're dead now - but they hated it too.
How about Irma and Ima Hogg. (Houston, never married, lots of money.)

Yep, the front half of my name is the same as my sister. I don't mind it at all. It's really common as many of my relatives and friends share the same tradition. Sometimes, it makes me feel closer to my family.
