Even if you don't understand reincarnation or the other possibilities, seriously think about this one. Just letting you know that you could never be anywhere you wouldn't want to be. Sure you could argue, I don't like school, work, the POW camp. But it seems like the mental state was always yours to alter the perception. They can't take that ability from you. You may see something as evil, but I see it as good. It just has to be understood. Things we are figuring out now through science seemed evil before we learned about them and looked deep enough.

The soul goes where it chooses to go between lives. Most want to be with loved ones who passed on ahead of them. Time is spent contemplating lessons fulfilled and lessons unlearned, and what the soul needs in the next life. Some spirits stay earthbound temporarily (which could be days or hundreds of years).

After my last death a part of my consciousness returned to Earth to be near someone I had left behind. And before I made the decision to be born again, I feel certain that I stayed close to the woman who would be my mother, as I think we each do with the families we have chosen.

I agree with you that many things we see as "bad" are not so bad after all. Karma -- even the unpleasant kind of karma -- brings an opportunity to gain wisdom and evolve into a better individual.

You went back to the other side to rest and plan what your next life would be. You made all the decisions you are living right now before you were born to this life.
Each time you choose a life, your spirit is aware of every step. You have things to learn and things to teach.
Death is just a new beginning.

Sorry - we all get one trip and this is it. The Epicureans had the right idea. So do the Existentialists.

Thanks for the points.
