Buddhism teaches about the spiritual side of a person, it addresses the spirit, the "soul" on its journey through existence. it also teaches that we are born again and that we as beings seek to improve our "spiritual awareness" through "enlightenment.

Atheism is the absolute denial of any form of God, gods, supernatural power, spirit and so forth. It is the assertion that everything in the Universe is formed from known material i.e. energy, matter, space and time and that there is and could be NOTHING ELSE.

According to atheist dogma the very existence of souls, spirits, higher existence, spiritual awareness, rebirth, past lives, and so on is not only impossible but a criminally stupid superstition.

An true atheist could no more be a Buddhist than a gold fish could be a nuclear physicist!

Sorry Last Ninja you got a few facts very wrong...
.
1. Buddhism is a faith that believes that the mind is an endless continuum. Nothing supernatural.

2. Nirvana is not supernatural or a third dimensional universe. Nirvana is a stagte of mind not a place. It is the state of mind that realises great bliss.. Not thought of anger, discrimination, prejudgement, only compassion and love. It is calm, totally calm.

3. In nirvana the mind is clear of selfish thoughts of any kind. It just feels such love and compassion for all beings. It sees exactly what truth is and what is not.

4. Clear instructions are given how to achieve this, which includes philosophy, logical thinking and faith.

5. Within Buddhism the believe is that every living being has the seed of pure love, pure compassion and just need nurturing to make it permanent not just occasionally.

6. Through Contemplation, an answer arrives, that is not predetermined but arrived by the individual mind. In fact, one finds the true meaning and understanding of love. There are antidotes for Anger, jealousy, hatred, etc. all by contemplation until it becomes second nature in the mind.

7. It is not Blind faith; in fact, everyone is invited to challenge any of the points, or teachings. Through practical example and experience faith will rise.

8. It is a known fact, the law of cause and effect. It is used in the law of physics. No voodoo in sight.

9. The ultimate goal for every Buddhist practioner, is to awake from the sleep of ignorance, a Buddha, purely and solely for the benefit of others. In Buddhism it is the believe that every living being has that potential, to become a living Buddha. Buddha is not a god, but a wisdom being, that can see truth as a buddhas mind has total clarity.

10. Buddhist believes that all our actions will have an effect on every being and surroundings. That in the end it will came back to us, Therefore negative actions by mind, speech or body will return negative action experienced in this life and future existance.

11. Buddhists believe that we can change our mind, take responsibility of our actions. We form our own destiny by means of our actions

It is by far more involved, but Buddhism does not believe in parallel universes of heaven and hell or any other paranormal existence.

Buddhism is technically atheistic in that it does not have a role for God. However, I think the word atheist has more specific connotations (of someone who rejects supernaturalism) and so it is confusing, though not inaccurate, to call Buddhism atheist.

Buddhism is definitely a religion as well as a philosophy though, as in addition to the philosophical aspect (which all religions have) it does make specific a priori statements about the nature of reality. For example Nirvana, and reincarnation, which are essentially points of faith and are not a part of the world around us and so are supernatural.

(I mean supernatural in the technical sense of beyond the world around us, not as an insult).

Yes Buddhism is athiestic, they do not accept that there is a spiritual world nor that there is a Supreme personality of Godhead, another term used to describe a Buddhist is a voidist, or in other words the final goal of Buddhism is non existence.

They do not believe in the existence of the soul, they do not accept spiritual reality in any format, they reject Theistic philosophy including, Biblical, Arabian, Judaic & Vedic, stating that it is a product of the mind alone.

One aspect of Buddhism claims that all forms are unreal, material forms most certainly are unreal in the sense that they are temporary, however there is spiritual form which is the original form, temporarily covered by a gross and subtle body, constituted of eight elements namely earth, water, fire, air, ether,
mind, intelligence & ego.

False ego means to accept oneself as the material body, real ego means to accept oneself as spirit soul, aham brahmasmi.

The Buddhist philosophy can be equated to a person with a headache who considers that release from the burden of an aching head is to remove it, rather then purify it of the disease.

Similarly not only is it impossible to become void, because the soul or the self is eternal, it is also undesirable, as the nature of the soul is to be forever active, activity implies desire, that desire which will satisfy us is pure spiritual desire, which will lead us back to the spiritual world, material desire will produce additional material bondage, in the cycle of the repetition of birth and death.

The Supreme personality of Godhead sends the Buddha to attract the atheists and promote ahimsa or non violence, a common quality of pure religious practise.

Buddhism is a sophisticated way of Life.
Unfortunately
Like Islam which was interpreted in many ways for the sake of interpreters convenience.
For Example: In Srilanka 80%of the population are Buddhisits.
But the Buddha followers the government and it's brutal army and the people discriminate and kill their Minority Tamil speaking people time to time.
The Buddhas teaching is taken in Mafia like polorized people's hand
and developed only Tyranny there.

Budhdhism is a super fine theory felt by more men in their minds.

Remember Buddha was himself a Hindu and he gave no importance to any religions.

Did you learn anything about religion at school, well if you did you will have worked out that Jesus was a great philosopher and very good at it, Buddhists are great philosophers too and very fascinating, each to their own OK, don't mock others beliefs as I doubt you would be happy about anyone mocking any aspect or belief you have in life, just chill and be happy.
