I've found that my daughter has a patch of being accident prone during a growth spurt. Even though the growth maybe small it seems to really affect their judgement. I guess, as they grow up and growing slows down, I guess they have fewer instances of being accident prone.

Saying that though, I fell off my bike last week!

I've got 3 boys. For a while, during the walking stage my middle son wore a helmet because of how many times he would hit his head! I have seen lots of hosptial visits and hospital stays in the last 8 years. They have become fewer as they get older. But they are boys, when they are no longer accidents they will be stunts and experiments, lol.

It does get better with time, but for now if you are worried talk with your doctor.

My friends son was very accident prone until he was about school age. I thought for sure social services would be knocking on her door with all the trips to the ER. She has 2 children younger then that one and luckily they are not accident prone!

Yes, it will get better with time.

I had a friend with a accident prone kid, who was constantly using bad judgement. His mom called poison control so often, that when she haddn't called in a month or so - poison control actually called HER to check and see if he was doing ok!

The 2-6 years were a nightmare of parental angst and worry. He's now 8, and he's calming down.

i was the same i had bruises everywhere you just had to look hard at me and id bruise, kids exlpore their surroundings at that age some are more prone to accidents than others, you will look back in 20 years time and be embaressing him by telling his new girlfriend all the things he used to do when he was younger, if youre still worried you can also contact your local doctor who would probably set your mind at rest.
