If a homeosexual is a believer, and has asked Jesus to come into their heart and saved them, they are saved, and on their way to heaven one day. This does not make their sin right. God hates the sin, and loves the sinner. All His children are just sinners saved by grace. I"m no better then the last person; however, we can all strive to be like Christ. I think that if a homosexual is saved, he will be miserable because He is not living for God. He needs to get his heart right- but I reapeat, this sin will not prevent him from going to Hell if he's a believer. No sin would. God takes anyone who wants Him.

Homosexuality is a sin. Lying is a sin. Greed is a sin. Lust is a sin. Theft is a sin. Murder is a sin. Gossip is a sin.
Sins can be forgiven by a wonderful and might Lord. We are all born in to sin. Some of us are born into "socially acceptable" sins like lying or gossip. Some of us are born into illegal sins like theft and murder. Some of us are born into legal but not socially acceptable sins like homosexuality.
One of the issues that a lot of Christians have with homosexuality is that the practicing homosexual does not see their behavior as sinful. So with that, a lot of Christians seek to change the mind of the person by condemning their act.
This is called "engaging the heart with a disengaged brain."
THe problem is that we as Christians do the same thing with other kinds of sins--but the people who lie, gossip, murder, and steal pretty much know that they are doing something wrong (at least mostly) and just don't care. The difference is that the homosexual does not see their behavor as wrong.
WOW I got off topic, sorry... back to the question:
Well... YEAH homosexuals have not lived a perfect life and will go to H-E-double-hockey-sticks if they do not repent. I believe (and I think I'm right on this one) that it is possible for someone to struggle daily with a sin, still take part in that sin, and still be a Christian who will be accepted into Heaven from Christ's perfect sacrifice.
It doesn't matter at that point if the sin is homosexuality or lying or gossip or murder or theft or whatever...
That's my take.

The issues is that those who do not repent (turn way from) their sins, will not be forgiven.
So whether one lies, steals, committs adultery, is a homosexual...all are sins. If someone repents and asks for rorgiveness, then they can go to heaven.
But a TRULY REPENTENT person does not continue in the sin i.e. lying, stealing, committing adultery, having a homosexual lifestyle....
If that person purposefully continues in the sin, then the Bible says there is no longer a sacrifice for their sin.
But if they decided to turn their life around and try to obey God's commandments and ask for forgivenesswhen they make a mistake , and all of us do make mistakes, then Christ will forgive their sins and they will receive eternal life.

Let's remember what God did to the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah? God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.
He wants everyone to share His Kingdom, however, because of our free-will, we want to dive into our worldly pleasures.
Repent and sin no more, Jesus told the woman at the well something like this.
Homosexuality is not in order with God's will. It is unnatural, just think about it.
Some people are born with these tendencies, and from what I have heard, if they sincerely want to change, they can , with the help of the Holy Spirit. And a lot of prayer.
Concerning the future of the 20th century and beyond, Our Lady of Fatima said that many people go to hell because of sins of the flesh.

I think that you cannot repent and still live in your sin.
You see, I dont think that BEING homosexual is a sin.....no more than BEING heterosexual. But ACTING on our sexual desires---homosexual or heterosexual in ways that God has not intended...that is where the sin lies. It is about trust in God and believing that even though we do not understand it, he has our best interest in mind. (See the Adam and Eve story, they thought that God was holding out on them essentially).
So, will God cast someone into hell just for BEING homosexual? I think it is more about attitude. If you are gay and choose to embrace the gay lifestyle while thumbing your nose at God----then there are consequences to that. If you are gay and choose to live a chaste life.....there are consequences to THAT too.....
People are so caught up in the here and now and all about 'feeling good'....we need to be mindful of the eternal. This life is short and temporary-----

I think the events in someone's life that lead up to them becoming a homosexual are often out of their control. Part of it could be genetics, or maybe they were sexually abused as a child, or just had a bad upbringing, or whatever the case may be, I just think a lot of gay people didn't choose to be gay. With that in mind, it would be pretty discouraging to think that God would punish someone for something beyond their control. A just God wouldn't do that. It's pretty clearly stated in the bible that homosexuality is wrong though, so there's a contradiction there that makes it impossible to answer.

you are right, BUT that is not a justification for continuing to walk in sin. If you are a homosexual, a liar , a theif, a murderer, an adulterer, etc. and you are truly walking with the Lord- then you will begin to desire more and more to walk in obedience. You may still feel the same tendencies and you may fall into sin, but you will have a repentent heart and you will seek deliverance and freedom from those sins- a true christian will not make excuses and try to justify their sin- not to say they will not fail sometimes- we all do and no one sin is greater than another. The thing that will not be overlooked on judgement day was whether or not you repented and decided in your heart to walk in obedience or not.
If none of us sinned then none of us would need Jesus, but we do and we have to call sin what it is whether it be homosexuality or lying and stealing. True repentence is turning away from the sin and walking in a path of obedience. We can all come to Christ as we are, it is He who makes us fit for fellowship with the Father, so He will meet us where we are and accept us sin and all, but He will not leave us that way and we should not be content to stay that way.
No a homosexual is not going to burn in hell for their sin any more than a murderer, liar, theif ,etc- Jesus took the penalty for our sins - as long as they have accepted Jesus as their saviour, make no excuses or justifications for their sins and truly repent and then walk in obedience to God's word they will be singing praises in heaven with the angels

No NO NO NO Jesus came for sinners. not the well. Homosexual sex is a sin like lying or fornicating with the opposite sex. There is no need to burn forever in the lake of fire when you can accept the Savior.
I understand from psychiatric professionals that it is normal to have confused feelings when you are in your teen years. Even if you had a homosexual encounter once and it has affected your thinking. It does not condemn you to hell or being gay forever.
You need prayers and love to help heal you from this. Jesus is there for you and he can help you as many times as you need Him to forgive these feelings and temptations.

All that is necessary is that you come to terms with it yourself. If you had, you would not be concerned about what the religious bigots thought. Only this will bring the peace you are seeking on this issue. Not squabbling with the narrow minded.
Leave them alone to work out this fantasy they are having about this judgmental hateful God they dream of.
Their God is no more real than the nonsensical ideas of hate that they spew.
Ignore them and don't join them in their delusions.
I have been married for 39 years, but my God loves you and sees you as perfect exactly the way that you are. This is the only truth. Focus on this truth, focus on this idea of God.
Don't allow the ravings of hate filled bigots to hurt you and fill you with the same irrational fear and hate that makes them act the way they do.
After all, How much like these people do you want to become?
Love and blessings.
Your brother.
