It's a known fact that fast food restaurants put chemicals and smells into their food to make it way more appealing than vegetables and other healthy foods. Basically, they're messing with your mind and body in order to make money.

Healthy food can taste just as good, you just have to work at it a little harder than driving through a fast food drive thru.

Think back to when mankind lived on a subsistence level. Fat and calories were not easy to come by. Fat and calories are extremely important for survival. If you don't get much food, you wanna eat as much calories as you can in what food you do eat.
Your body is programmed to like, nay, to crave, fat and calories.
Unfortunately for us, these things are way too plentiful.
I wouldn't say the things that are good for you are "gross," just that you don't necessarily WANT them the same way.

Hey, roman, belittling her isn't going to help, jerk.

The trick is to find healthy foods and healthy recipies that you like. For example, say you've got a sweet tooth. In late summer (right now) the melons are at thier peak and really sweet. Get your self a nice ripe cantalope and try having that for breakfast instead of a pastry. Go through the produce section at your local store and buy small amounts of things you want to try. A taste for healthy foods can be aquired.

Foods that aren't good for you taste good because most processed food has MSG in it, which is a flavor enhancer, and is actually known to cause various diseases. MSG is sometimes listed with another name because most people have become familiar with the dangers of MSG throughout the years so most manufacturers will use a different name. (look for autolyzed yeast extract, hydrolized yeast extract, torula) MSG is an excitotoxin meaning that that it literally excites your body cells into death....

Foods that are good for you don't really taste bad, your palate is just uneducated.

It takes time to recondition your mind and your body to like certain foods. We grow up with fast foods, brightly packaged convenience foods in grocery stores, and we're bombarded with advertising that encourages us to eat garbage.

Even certain "bad" foods can be good for you in moderation. Ground beef, the base of fast food burgers, can be healthier in the right proportions and without the condiments piled on. Potatos in moderation can be a viable carb source, and lower fat and calorie options of ice cream can be as good for you as milk or yogurt.

Look at the second ingredient in any pre-packaged food that you eat. It's generally "high-fructose corn syrup", stated by nutritionists and dietitians to be the NUMBER ONE CAUSE of the rising incidences of obesity. Our bodies don't process this new sugar form very well - we simply store up the excess calories and they turn straight to unwanted fat. Eliminate this ingredient from your daily diet and you'll see a significant change quickly.

It's Eve and the Devils fault. In the Garden of Eden all foods were good for you and tasty. I think as a punishment for eating the apple good foods don't taste as good as bad foods. That or the devil wants you to fall in to one of the seven deadly sins so he makes bad foods taste good so he can catch you. Which do you think is right?

B/c nothing's ever simple in life lol. The "good" things actually can taste good, it's just things like fried foods, white bread etc. are like drugs and mess up your palette. If you switch to whole wheat bread, after a while the white stuff will be disgusting to you.
