Have you ever tried to talk or flirt your way out of getting a ticket, what did you say, what happened?

I have had females offer all sorts of things, from sexual favors to money to let them go...they got a ticket. I worked close to a town that sent one of their officers to prison for that stuff and it sort of sent the message home that you never know who you have stopped and who they may be representing.

This is bad.....but I'm a nurse, & I always carry a stethescope in my car in case I come across an emergency.
Well, I was late for a lunch date & got pulled over for speeding...my stethescope was on the seat next to me.
I never actually lied *blushes*...
The officer said , "You seem like you're in a bit of a hurry." I told him, that yes, I was running late. He glanced at my stethescope, & asked if I was a doctor. I told him,"No, an RN".
I guess he assumed I was on my way to work or something, cuz he said, "Well, keep up the good work; but slow it down a little, OK?"

I still feel a little bad about not correcting his assumption. But in 20 years of driving I'd never gotten a ticket, & didn't really want to start then!

Keep your hands on the wheel, politely ask why you were pulled over (like you don't know), do EXACTLY what he asks you to do, WHEN he asks you to do it. He's already registered you on the computer in his car. Get what you're getting and save the crying for the Town Prosecutor. No quick movements - do not get out of the car...

To all the girls who answered this question. It doesn't work for guys either, unless she's a really ugly cop ,and in bad need of a little attention. Probably would be be lesser penalty if she just issued citation.

from a guy--- i was pulled over for speeding in my '86 mazda b2200 pick-up truck, the officer said i was going 65 in a 50 zone i looked him right in the eyes and said " I didn't think my truck could go that fast." he shook his head and walked away-no ticket was given
