Some people do have problems putting weight on. I'm skinny as well and have had this problem. I think eating a balanced diet is what will allow you to gain the proper weight. Usually those who are skinny eat less than those who are normal sized. I've tried the "bowl of ice cream a night" trick as well as the "milkshake in the morning" and that worked okay, I gained a few pounds. But I think that those that are born naturally skinny and stay that way don't have much luck gaining weight. Whatever you do DO NOT start eating junk food to gain weight, it will just make you sick and unhealthy.

Good Luck!

You're thinking about weight training, before I say anything I will refer you to an excellent website which has helped me and a lot of people gain weight healthily (in muscle) - But it takes patience and it is not as easy - it can take 6 months of intensive training to put on weight in muscle - much easier to put it in fat - but as you've probably guessed - fat is unhealthy - You need to first address what you eat, you need high protein, atleast 5 smaller meals a day instead of 2 or 3 big ones like breakfast, lunch and dinner - they need to be low in fat and high in calories (because whether it is fat or muscle to gain weight you need to take in more calories than you burn), you need to do quite a bit cardio exercise such as running atleast 3 or 4 times a week to make sure you don't put on fat -

With this you must do a lot of weight training - go to the website to get a better idea of the process - and patience is the key - if you stick to a proper routine with regular exercise, rest and high calorie/high protein/low fat foods - you will see yourself putting on weight in muscle - and will look good - I'm doing the same thing right now, im quite thin, tall and lanky, it is most likely our metabolism that stops us from putting on weight - but if you are young, then that suggests you are still growing and all your energy goes into growing taller and so you will fill-out very quickly as soon as you stop growing at about 19 or 21 - if you are just naturally skinny - then a work out routine is in order - otherwise if you are an adolescent I really do suggest you just eat a well-balanced diet and wait it out - Weight training can stunt your growth by damaging growth plates and interfering with the distribution of Testorone and HGH which play a big role in your growth.

Also quite importantly, it has been said that regular food is just good as these weight gain supplements you see in stores - but if you really can't be bothered to eat like that then the weight-gain PROTEIN supplements really do help IF you use them with exercise - massive weight gain in muscle supplements - you can find them at most health stores - they really are quite popular, but they are expensive and so serious body builders find they can do just as well with normal food - but knowledge about diet requirements is very important as it plays a big part - you are what you eat.

Remember high calorie frequent meals - but low in fat - and plenty of exercise balanced with rest for muscle growth - join a gym - and when doing a workout that is aimed at gaining weight in muscle you need to drop the junk food.

P.S: www.bodybuilding.com - it really is a very good website.

some people are basically equipped skinny, tremendous extreme metabolism and somewhat demanding to achieve weight. the purely a threat answer is to devour more effective, wholesome meals it is. Junk food will make you fat and poisonous, devour sturdy protein and likely even a protein shake 3 cases an afternoon. about devour a million to at least a million.5 grams of protein for each pound of bodyweight, and hit the weights demanding.

What you need to do it eat a balanced diet. Not too much fat, a bit carbs, lots and lots of fruit and vegetables (because theses have healthy natuaral fats and sugars in), at least one portion of bread. Chocolate, lol, but not too much snacking.
You also need to turn skinniness into muscle buy doing lots of excercise!

You might think about supplementing with the B Vitamins. It if often helpful in facilitating weight gain. You might also want to get your thyroid function checked to make sure it is functioning correctly, as well as get tested for parasites.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/QpsMI

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
