It means eagerness to endure pain and suffering to spare another person. Someone you love being in pain is twice as painful as enduring the same thing yourself. If someone you love is standing in the rain, it makes you feel cold and wet yourself.
Also, love means wanting them to be happy. Seeing a smile on the face of someone you love should make your day.
Love does not have to be a 2-way street either, I don't think. You can still love somebody and want them to be happy even if they don't love you. But it would still probably make you sad to know that they aren't as happy as they could be, because you know they'd be happier if they loved you.

hi dude. Love mean heart sweetener to me. You get it? It is like a kind of chocolate. It doesnt melts in your hand but in your heart. It is about enjoying the courting process. Then dating process. If he or she is willing to share the heart with you it will be perfect. Love is simply just giving your heart to someone. It often result in pain. You might get hurt too. It is about your HEART!!!!!!!!! When i was young i dont get what is love until i am about 18 old onwards. Each person discover love at different age.

Love is not precisely a feeling. Feelings easily pass and change or fade away. But true Love is an act of wanting to continue despite and inspite of everything.

Well, when you say "I love you." to a person they must be really special to you, if you say it to someone you just met who is really nice and everything, that is not love, you just like that person a lot. Love is special and it is the closest thing we have to magic. When you love someone, you know that if let's say, you got really hurt in a car crash, then they might say, "I would rather that have been me in that car than you." That is truely love. It doesn't have to be your bf, and it can just be one of your friends, just remember, that even if it seems like everyone hates you, even your parents, just remember someone loves you and he's always watching over you. love has many stages - love a animal is different from loving a human. loving a husband is different than loving a brother etc etc.... i just know this is a special feeling towards another human being in many different ways .... love hurts too
