Tom Tom Plus question?

Hi, I have a Tom Tom 700 and was wondering does anyone know do you have to have a Blue Tooth Enabled phone to use the Plus services or is there another way ? Also is there anyway to update maps to show bypasses or updates to roads ? Thanks for reading.
