Spot a woman near an item or area like produce (not any deli counter) look like your not sure of what your doing..... then ask for her help....from that point go with the flow of the conversation.
It works all the time....

look clueless and ask her about the purchase your about to make if its a good one... dont scare her away! chat in a small things first. then if things go well maybe you can get her number.
or maybe ask her when she usualy does her groceries and tell her doing chores is fun when your with her...so ask away if she wants to go shopping again sometime. :)
by doing this- she will be comfortable. since there's no pressure for you to be on a date right away...

look lost and ask questions, then try to get them to tell them their name, then keep on talking about prices and sales and other things that you can! keep eye contact if possible, if they have food enough for an army, they are probably married, but it may be she has kids and no husband! love roccks!
