Usually, most people's hair grows a little faster in the summer, whether because there are more hours of daylight, or because it's warmer.
Fifty strands a day isn't excessive though. Are you doing anything differently now? If it's long enough for a pony, are you using an elastic or scrunchy that isn't ripping more hair out? Are you washing it more? Wet hair needs to be handled gently.

I remember going through that when I was young like 20. I didnt go bald and I have plenty of hair now in fact my hair is still thick I think you lose some but it grows back. I think its normal because I see a lot of those same questions. unless theres a balding epidemic

People with thick hair tend to lose a lot more when brushing, etc. because their growth rate for hair is higher than most. However, if it becomes really excessive and you notice scalp issues, see a doctor.

The only thing I know of that causes hair loss you describe is a thyroid condition.
I would go to the doctor and ask for a checkup or have them check your thyroid at the same time.

you do lose more in the summer, but have you tried brewers yeast? you can mix a T. with yogurt, and it really thickens your hair, because it's loaded with B vitamins. Also, I don't know if you colour your hair, but that is a huge factor in hair loss and breakage? Good luck!

your not supposed to lose any hair in the summer or winter. animals are but not humans. sure u can lose hair by brushing but if u r losing hair that it looks like your going balder everyday i would call ur doctor for a check-up

it is normal to lose 100 strands a day....if it starts coming out in clumps you need to get to a doctor...you could have low iron count if you have not been eating right and this will cause hair loss

You may be lacking protien or somthing in your diet get a good multi vitamin for women. eat plenty good protien like fish chicken and lean meats. Hope you dont loose too much hair!

ur going bald or it's a shampoo ur using some thing that effects ur hair go to a doctor
