fill it 1/2 full of water
dump in about 1/2 cup of baking soda
boil
It will come right off.
If your out, salt will work but not as well.

those musta been some crazy mashed potato's...
usually I just soak the pan in the sink, completely filled with water and some soap.. by the next day it just comes off on it's own with a sponge most times, and I dont have to use something that is gonna ruin my pans... I am lazy, the rest of the stuff is too hard and requires work...

Put in about 1" of water. Put a lid on it. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes. It should come clean.

At my restaurant, we boil lemon juice in our pans to clean them. Then we scrub them with a scrubber appropriate for the surface of the pan.

Try steel wool. But if it is too badly scorched you may be better off to toss it and buy another one. The metal could be damaged and this could effect its usefulness.

You might try putting it back on the stove with a heavy solution of water and baking soda.

Soak it first in hot water and soap.Than use SOS.If you don't have that try a little cleanser.It will come off.Good Luck!
