If you do decide to kick him out, be willing to stand by the consequences.
He most likely will end up in jail, because they will have to steal to eat, become a vagrant, and possibly have to postitute their body for money. I honesty don't believe kicking a kid out will make them "grow up" any faster.
And be willing to call the police if they try to get back in the house.

He is only 18, yes, he/she is an adult, but not all kids mature at the same rate.

Talk to each other, (not when you're fighting) let them know how you feel, the stress it puts on you, etc...

I understand your frustration... been there, still doing it!!

Best of luck to you and your child.

well as a 18 year old, i dont think it would be a good idea to evict them because i dont think they would have anywhere to go. they could probably be far off worst in the streets. I think you should at least threaten them to kick them out before you do... but if they arent worried about getting kicked out... i thihnk you should give them a reality check and actually kick them out just for a while so they can appriciate what they have at home.... that happened to me when i was about 16 becasue i was really bad. but now that i really learned my lesson, i dont cause much trouble any more.
anyways good luck

no, you evict tenants not kids. Once they are no longer a minor, you do not have a legal responsibility to them. If they are 18 or older and do not want to follow your house rules and create trouble, you tell them to leave. Sometimes police need to remove unwanted people from a residence.

depending on where you live... here in MI, yes, you do. you have to give it to them in writing and they have a month to leave, after that you can throw stuff on the curb. Unless they are doing unlawful things in your house, in that case call the cops.... tough love, its not easy, but they will learn from it.

The only way for some kids to learn is letting them face the consequence for their actions.

you can't evict someone who is not a tenant. Tell them to leave
and if they don't your only option is the police and tresspassing charges
and ultimately a restraining order if it is necessary
