I havent ever stoned anybody.
And its not cryptic, the passage is very plain: Homosexuality and adultery are both sexual sin, as it violates the sexual act that should be reserved for a husband and wife. The Bible itself does not order this death penalties, it was an Old Testament law that was created for the Israelites to keep their entire population in a right relationship with God. It was a group mentality, instead of an individualistic mentality because it was important that God's people be kept holy.
In other societies around them, similar laws were also kept, with the death penalty as the primary tool to bring about justice.
Nowadays, its family court, fines or jail time. Social deviancies such as adultery and family problems are no longer really ruled by the state, whereas the state was involved in all aspects of life back in the day.
Jesus also made the point (which you have not mentioned) that the adulterous woman that was caught in the very act, should be forgiven, because she was genuinely repentent of her sin. Likewise, if a homosexual is repentent (meaning he asks forgiveness and turns away from his sin), he will also be forgiven.
But no, all the left wingers like to hang around on Old Testament Law, because its so much easier to insult the rightwingers that way. Because we are all just a bunch of judgmental rock flingers waiting for society to give us our next victim. Sigh. It seems you go after that cryptic passage more than any of us do.

Well, The Holy Bible and The Noble Koran both say that the people of Lot were the first to do sodomy and which they say is the worst of sins (of the flesh).
I dont know about right wingers. I know something about human nature. When you see something happening too much around you it is accepted as a norm. Especially if you too like to do that thing!!!. How can adultrators axe their own feet!!!
It is very easy for majority of people to be attracted to the opposite sex. This majority will be repulsed by the idea of being attracted to their own type or will need great direction of will to make themselves be attracted.

First off, based on the tone of your question, you think you've got it figured out, and aren't really looking for an answer, you just want people to agree with your assumption. But, being the optimist that I am, I'll try to answer your question, hoping that you'll actually read it.
God says this about the Law of Moses in the Old Testament: "Therefore I also gave them statutes that were not good, and judgments that they could not live by." (Ezekiel 20:25)
Paul tells us about the Law here: "Now before this faith came, we were held in custody and carefully guarded under the law in preparation for the faith that was to be revealed. And so the law was our tutor until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith. But now that this faith has come, we are no longer under the control of a tutor." (Galatians 3:23-25)
Therefore the Law teaches us what God requires, and that we cannot meet those requirements. (Even Christians and homosexuals.) It teaches us that we need someone who can fulfill the requirements for us. He is the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Now, the next part is this: Some requirements still remain with us in the New Testament, fortunately for homosexuals, adulterers, etc., the requirements for stoning people are gone. On the other hand a final judgment awaits the unrepentant.
"You know that wicked people will not inherit the kingdom of God, don't you? Stop deceiving yourselves! Sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunks, slanderers, and robbers will not inherit the kingdom of God." (I Corinthians 6:9-10)
That list includes just about everybody. The difference is this, found in the next passage: "That is what some of you were! But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (I Corinthians 6:11)
The people in the list in verses 9-10 no longer commit the acts. they have been forgiven by Christ, and live to please him. Those who remain in their sins, live to please themselves. As a result, they will have to face their make one day unprotected by Christ.

Same question I have been asking for a while not. It's such a sin to be gay, they want to ban it in the US-nevermind that the US has a separation of church and state, that doesn't seem to matter anymore-but if that's the case, why don't they stone adulterers? Why aren't women covering their heads when they pray? Why do some of us still work on Sundays-speaking of which, isn't Sunday technically the FIRST day of the week, and Saturday the seventh? I was sitting in church one day, and my Sunday school teacher had the gall to say that Saturday was the 7th day of the week, but wouldn't it be much better to worship God on the FIRST day instead? Who gave him permission to change that? Certainly not God.

The Bible would not say everywhere to stone human beings no remember how they're. sure. that is an identical punishment. both are incorrect: adultery and homosexuality. those who practice such issues don't have God's approval. The Biblle says that someone who has a better half which commited aldultery can divorce and remarry. “I say to you that whoever divorces his spouse, except on the floor of fornication, and marries yet another commits adultery.” (Matthew 19:9)

You've got me, hotdog, because here's what the Bible has to say about adultery....hence, the mass following behind the conservatives by the "evangelicals" is insane because though I also believe some of the things my fellow Democrats back are "up for grabs", just because the repukes scream out against abortion, stem cell research, and homosexuality, they are FOR some of the most abominable things the Bible teaches against like pride, gluttony, greed, materialism, idolatry of money, etc. here it is on adultery:

It's intolerance. The Bible does call homosexuality an abomination, but it also calls eating dairy and meat together an abomination. I don't see any protests against eating cheeseburgers.
