I'd say this is not so much a problem with the drivers as the other suggested since the All In One Series drivers are quite good and robust, and the problem you describe indicates a hardware issue.
If it's within warranty, please ask for a replacement.
At any rate, it's better you take the PSC to HPs Service Center rather than try your hand with it with advise from a Forum.

I have a HP PSC, too, so I'm really telling you this from experience because I'm also a Hardware and Software Professional who's seen his fill of machinery that's been jacked worse that what it was by amateurs taking amateurs' advise.
