the books of the old testament vary in age. the oldest known text is the first five or the pentateuch, but the exact age of the written versions are not fully agreed upon. the one book i know to be the oldest version and is currently on display in israel is the book of isaiah scribed on a single copper sheet and found as one of the books at qumran which were first found in 1947. it has almost identical language as is in the current version found in the old testament. other written versions of the books may be older, but i don't know which, if any, it would be. it may be that written texts followed oral traditions and this may be true of the first five, all being attributed to moses nearly 4000 years ago.

As per my knowledge Holy Quran is about 1500 years old like wise the Holy Bible is around 3500 years old. The oldest text, poems, epic or any religious books are Hindus or Indians. Their religion is also the oldest in the world as per Guinness book and also historians. Oldest religious book is their Holy "Vedas". The holy Ramayana is about 8 to 10 thousand years old and their Holy Bhagvat Gita is around 4000 years old. The only religious book with Great Jesus name is Hindus' Bhavishya Purana it is about 2,500 years old as per historians. Most of the happenings in the world written in this book. Some historians say it is around 2,000 years old but Christian missionaries say it is after Christ. About Prophet Mohammed's name and character is also mentioned in Hindus' Vedas. Reading Hindus religious books and texts are very difficult as it is in Sanskrit language. - With love and respect - Biju John

The OT is a story of the older religion of Judaism. Considering that the Jews were slaves in Egypt that'd make it about 2000-3000 years older than the NT. PEACE!
