Hentai a sin?

I found some Christians online who think that watching Hentai is not a sin, I must say it's hard to argue, if you can watch it merely for the sexual aspects, without imagining yourself in there or lusting, is it a sin to watch, it's not real people if the "sex" that is happening isn't violent or anything is it really wrong to watch, I'm having trouble figuring this one out, how can it be wrong if it's not real it's just animation?

First and foremost, I do not believe that sex, in and of itself is a sin. Humans were created to naturally enjoy it.

What is a sin is the fact that we are indoctrinated from the earliest of ages to think of our bodies and their natural functions as dirty, sinful, shameful and to be hidden at all costs and never spoken of. This attitude makes our natural thoughts and functions shameful and then kids can't handle the things that happen to them naturally, like puberty!

I believe that if we as a society were not taught to suppress our natural sexuality and could be open about it, there would be less need for people to feel the need to hide it, or make it the thrill of the forbidden, thereby abusing someone who is vulnerable to them in order to hide it and keep it quiet.

If we were taught to embrace sexuality openly, in a healthy, factual manner with other consenting people of appropriate maturity and age, then the rates of sex and violent crimes would drop dramatically.

Sex isn't for animations, it's for the living, humans and animals. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as it is between consenting persons of appropriate age and maturity. As long as it is never forced upon another, particularly one who is in a position of vulnerability.

Have you noticed that people who talk about sin never say I AM DOING SOMETHING SINFUL-- SOMEONE SHOULD PUT A STOP TO THAT!

Although it's animation, it's like any other pornographic material. It is animation depicting pornography.

Oftentimes, Hentai will depict really young, underaged-looking girls, rape, BDSM, et cetera. Not always, but often.

So...I do think it's sinful, but that's just my opinion.

No I don't think it would be a sin. God never spoke of modern things. Is it a sin to drive a car? Don't know. God never told us.
