I met her in Savannah last year and have always been a big fan of her, and her show, 'Paula's Home Cooking' on the Food Network. What about you all?

Paula is great. She has that down home southern style that makes you feel at home even while simply watching her show. Her food is the kind of stick-to-your-ribs good that fills you up and makes you feel warm inside, and overall, her beautiful attitude and smile-not to mention her laughter- make it impossible not to like her.

As a fellow Southerner, IMO she slathers on the Southern thang a bit too thick. "Let me get my spatch-ler and flip this." Many of her recipes are not original to her, and can be foudn in most any 1960's church or charity cookbook. But that's ok. I love that she enjoys cooking and entertaining, will use a canned soup now and again in a casserole, but also knows how to make it from scratch, and just seems to enjoy people. You can't say that about all FoodTV's hosts!

I love Paula Deen. I have eaten at her restaurant many times, even b4 she was "famous". I met both of her boys but haven't gotten the pleasure of meeting her yet.

Her cooking is sound but she trys to do the southern thing a bit too much. She ends up sounding as if she is not just being herself but again playing on her heritage and a gimmick. A bit is fine but do her sons have anything to do with it? Plus does she really make anything that someone who can cook not make? No. She might be good if she talked a bit faster and with conviction.

I enjoy watching Paula.

Sometimes her squalls and laughter are a bit overkill.

She doesn't cook much that I don't already know how to do, but then I'm a southerner from Georgia taught by the best -- mom. But, she's entertaining.
