I believe they are metaphores intended on instructing one on how to live his/her life in the here and now. If you choose to live a life of crime, decit, thievery, lies, and hatred than you'll live a LIVING HELL right here on Earth; if you choose to live a life of compassion/empathy for others, loving those closest to you, being honest, working hard, respecting others and the environment than yours will be a HEAVEN on Earth. Neither Heaven or Hell are actual places you end up at your ultimate demise and it's for you and humanity to judge your life as you live it in the PRESENT! PEACE!

Yes because belief in heaven and hell is a consequent of belief in God. Amongst God's attributes is that he is just. Justice is something all humans seek. If our car is stolen, we go to the police why, to extract justice, to punish the thief. Thus, God applies justice to all of humanity. Is it fair that the killer escapes after having destroyed so many lives and dies and turns into dust? While the saint does so much good also dies? Is it fair that they both end up sand with out reward or punishment, don't all actions produce consequences? This is where the justice of God comes in, the day of judgment. He will judge us according to the message he sent and will punish or reward us accordingly.

So in the end, yes I believe in heaven and hell because i believe in the justice of God

As states of mind they are valid. We can place ourselves in a state of heaven where we just know the positive in all things. Or, we can truly be in hell, seeing the worst in all circumstances.

The afterlife, on the other hand, has 7 spheres and many levels of existence that allow for all to gravitate, by their own actions on earth, to where their spirit is suited to occupy.

hello :}
hell is here on earth ,where we learn negative lessons and have to work through pain and suffering .i do believe in a soul but i think that the soul takes many lifetimes to actually progress ,there is no way a god would expect people to become more perfect in one lifetime [and yes i know that the christian faith says we are all saved because of Jesus ]while i believe in Jesus as a master teacher of truth i do believe we are responsible for our own soul progression hence we are given free will to choose what we know is right or wrong otherwise what is the point ,we can murder cheat maim, and yet simply be 'saved 'come on that's too easy .
god or the higher being wanted us as companions wanted us to choose for ourselves ,wanted to experience every experience on this negative hate fulled planet ,
most of us miss the whole lesson of why we our here ,,,,there is one rule 'treat others like you treat yourself 'and there could be no killing ,no wars ,no stealing because we wouldn't do it to ourselves ,
hell is here on earth and i do believe their is the other side where souls can evolve and CHOOSE to come back here [why you would i don't know ,lol].
anyway .
best to you

I believe because God says it is written in Revelation it gives a description of heaven and tells you of hell eternal lake of fire made for the devil and the beast and all of those who have the mark of the beast in their hand or for head.

We are born and then we die.

some people do good deeds and some people do bad deeds
like murder, rape, stealing, terrorising others and they get away with it.
so how are they going to pay the price for their evil.
my logic says that the people who do good will be rewarded with heven where they will enjoy.
and the people who do evil will be punished and will be put in hell where they will be punished.

I'm over 5 years old, and as such no longer believe in "ultimate good" fighting "ultimate evil".

I traded in fairy tales for reality a long time ago.

Heaven is simply grace us, no law nor law law at all.
Hell is simply endless "law law", endless "division".
(kinda like what's ongoing in Israel vs Palestine)

It's hell(fearful) to "fall" from grace to law God below,
to "fall" into plural (law law) "hands" of God, on "high".
For no matter what side ye take, it's law worketh wrath.

The "grace"(God) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
