The vet said once a month, but do you feel it can be used two or three times a month without hurting the cat, especially when the cat has a bad flea problem?

The answer is : You can use Frontline as often as every 3 weeks.

If you are still seeing fleas on your pet --- this means the fleas are still hatching in your house and jumping onto your pet. If you keep applying the Frontline monthly , you should eventually break the flea breeding cycle. ( unless you have another pet in the house which remains untreated )

Only use it once a month. Remember that it is a poison that you are putting on the cat.
If you are still seeing fleas, then you have them in your carpet and they are laying eggs that are hatching.
Sprinkle Twenty Mule Team Borax on the carpet after you vacuum. The borax in the product will kill the fleas in the carpet. Keep using it and it will kill the fleas as they hatch from their eggs.

Spray is safety, but it's better use the drop system. U can use twice a month in combination with house control to kill the eggs, every week. And put it in the others animals u have, at least once a month.
