I am intrigued by her when I see her on the Montel Williams show. She really seems to know what she is talking about and so does John Edwards. She says there is no hell.

We are shown in various places in the scriptures where there were those which could see into the beyond, into the spirit realm; future, present and past. There were Soothsayers which were men and women some which were later to be known as the Prophets. There were also witches and other types of readers too which were able to speak to those which had died.

The scriptures teach us many things in fact the treasures of the universe are in the words of the book, all we have to do is to read the words with an open mind and heart and let the Word of God enter into us and show us the truth.

Most people do not want to know the Truth because it interferes with the way they want to live their lives. Just being good is not enough, if it were Jesus would not have had to give Himself in our place. He asks so little of us and yet so many people refuse to listen because they want to life their lives for pleasure in the sin of the world. God allows this because He does not want anyone that does not want Him. So many will plead and cry when the time of judgment comes
And at that time try to convince God they believed all along but God knows the hearts, the thoughts of everyone and it is the thoughts and desires of everyone which will either save them or condemn them on the day we face the judgment.

Read the following scriptures and see for yourself what the Word of God says then open you Bible or if you do not have one go online to one of many free Bible sites and read what God has to say about any question you have.

One of these references is in the 1st Book of Samuel chapter 28

1 Now it happened in those days that the Philistines gathered their armies together for war, to fight with Israel. And Achish said to David, "You assuredly know that you will go out with me to battle, you and your men."
2 And David said to Achish, "Surely you know what your servant can do." And Achish said to David, "Therefore I will make you one of my chief guardians forever."
3 Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.
4 Then the Philistines gathered together, and came and encamped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped at Gilboa.
5 When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor."
8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Please conduct a seance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you."
9 Then the woman said to him, "Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?"
10 And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."
11 Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" And he said, "Bring up Samuel for me."
12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, "Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!"
13 And the king said to her, "Do not be afraid. What did you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth."
14 So he said to her, "What is his form?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle." And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down.
15 Now Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do."
16 Then Samuel said: "Why then do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy?
17 "And the LORD has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David.
18 "Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day.
19 "Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines."
20 Then immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid because of the words of Samuel. And there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no food all day or all night.
21 And the woman came to Saul and saw that he was severely troubled, and said to him, "Look, your maidservant has obeyed your voice, and I have put my life in my hands and heeded the words which you spoke to me.
22 "Now therefore, please, heed also the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a piece of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way."
23 But he refused and said, "I will not eat." So his servants, together with the woman, urged him; and he heeded their voice. Then he arose from the ground and sat on the bed.
24 Now the woman had a fatted calf in the house, and she hastened to kill it. And she took flour and kneaded it, and baked unleavened bread from it.
25 So she brought it before Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they rose and went away that night.
(NKJV)

Now as to there being no hell, I am surprised that someone like Sylvia that has the ability to see beyond is prevented from seeing into the place where the lost are awaiting the final judgment. We see this in Luke 16: 19-31

19 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
20 "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
21 "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
25 "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'
27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,
28 'for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.'
29 "Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.'
30 "And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"
(NKJV)

If there is no hell as Sylvia claims, why does the rich man cry out to Father Abraham to send Lazarus to “dip the tip of his finger in water to cool his tongue from the burning flames?” The only apparent answer is that God does not allow those that have chosen to deceive others to see the truth even though the truth is there if they only open their hearts to Christ Jesus and their ears to the Holy Spirit.

Anyone who believes anything except salvation through the Holy Blood of Jesus will not enter into the Kingdom of God and those are the words of Christ Jesus Himself. John 6: 44 and John 14: 6

We see in Matthew 11: 25-30
25 At that time Jesus declared, "I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes;
26 yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will.
27 All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
(RSV)

John 6: 44-59
44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.
46 Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from God; he has seen the Father.
47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
48 I am the bread of life.
49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh."
52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;
54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever."
59 This he said in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.
(RSV)

John 14
1 "Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
3 And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
4 And you know the way where I am going."
5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him."
8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied."
9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves.
12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father.
13 Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
14 if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15 "If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever,
17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you.
18 "I will not leave you desolate; I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more, but you will see me; because I live, you will live also.
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him."
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?"
23 Jesus answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24 He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.
25 "These things I have spoken to you, while I am still with you.
26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
28 You heard me say to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place, you may believe.
30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me;
31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go hence.

Yes She very well may be doing this.
It is not difficult and requires no special talent to do it. The average person thinks that it is not possible so they simply never try it. I found out that it was possible several years ago quite by accident, and have been doing it whenever a loved one dies to hear what they have to say. I have had some interesting and informative experiences. Sometimes even getting information that I had not known that I later verified with third parties that could attest to the validity of what I had been told.

She is correct about there being no actual hell. The only way someone can end up in anything that resembles hell is if they firmly believe that hell is real and that they deserve to go there. They then create the idea of hell in their mind and can believe themselves to be experiencing it until they are finally shown the truth. Otherwise it does not exist. If you are interested how I discovered that this could be done send your email address and I will send you the full explanation in the form of an email. It is much to long to include it as a part of the answer in this Q&A format.

No, Sylvia Brown and John Edwards are really low scam artists. They use different methods to make people believe that they are talking to the dead. One method would be the "shotgun approach" where the scam artist would have a large audience and ask them "Who's Ed?" Since there is a large audience, the chance of getting someone who has a relative who passed away named Ed is increased. Also, what you see on TV is not what is done on the studio. Usually, the audience sits through a show that is about 4 hours long. Then the editors edit the film down to about 1 hour, taking out all the misses that they can.

She also laughs at the statement of demons. I find it interesting that someone like that does not fear God or satan. First off what she is doing is considered black magic. It is not of God it is of satan and satan is the by and far the master of this world.

Satan is the lord of lies. He is also the bringer of light. He will reveal what can seem like the truth, but alas with every sliver of truth the lies will flow and flow like blood from a wound. He will never ever let you know what God wants to tell you because he only cares about watching you suffer and do things of this world.

Let us take a look at what God hates - ready?

Haughty Eyes
A Lying Tongue
The Shedding of Innocent Blood
A Heart that Devises Evil Schemes
Feet That Run Quickly into Evil
A False Witness who Pours Out Lies
A Man That Stirs Up Dissension Among Brothers

Let us take evil schemes - Sylvia Brown and her so called psychic abilities - does she get paid for this? How much? I can only assume that she makes millions off the hurt of others. It is disgusting. Satan wants this to happen because it takes you away from God and the good gifts He wants to give you.

I can only assume Sylvia has done this - Blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Now, if she has - which I can see is around the corner OR she has already done this. God will not forgive her and automatically she is of the world right next to satan - holding the hand of evil and leading others down with her.

Remember Satan believes in God and the Bible. He knows exactly what is going to happen. But, he will never make it to heaven.

I believe that john edwards can. it wouldn't be possible for him to really know something personal about people in the audience (stuff their family had done before or even after their death) if he wasn't able to talk to the dead. As for there being no hell, that can't be true because there is. And I believe the dead no longer "sleep" because Jesus Christ went down into hell, woke and freed all the faithful, and brought them to Heaven. As a Catholic, that's what we are taught. If there is a Heaven then there is a Hell, because there are people who choose to be good and people who choose evil. the ones who choose to live a good and faithful life, will probably go to Heaven, or purgatory and then Heaven. If you choose do evil, then you will probably go to Hell, if you choose not to care what you've done. I can never say a definite though, because it is ultimately God who makes the decision.

Anyone can talk to a dead person, it's getting a response that's impossible. She's not actually having a conversation with the dead, it's all an act. Same with John Edwards, no one has conversations with dead people.

If the dead know nothing as is in the bible, they are sleeping waiting for Jesus to return to wake them up, how can she or anyone be talking to them? It is Satan and his angels she talks to and why would Satan want to believe there is really a Hell coming? What better way to deceive people to believe they are just fine and have no need of God? If I stole something and wanted to cover it up and mislead those that needed to know or they would be going to the same place I was headed, do you think I would admit to that thing being there? I would say there was not stolen item too. Doesn't mean there isn't one there but only that I don't want you to know the truth. That is what satan does with Hell and death, tells the same lies he has told since the Garden of Eden. Read it for yourself in the first four verses of Genesis 3. God says you will die but Satan says you will not die. So who do you choose to believe?

No.

Sylvia Brown is bulls**ting everyone who is gullible enough to believe these types of people.
If she could really talk to people, she would be solving thousands of crimes, helping millions of people, etc.... Imagine what a person could do if they could really talk to the dead!?
They certainly would not be on the Montel Williams show....

Nationally televised magicians seem pretty magic too =) Tricks of the trade. I don't believe in Hell either, but I haven't come to that conclusion by listening to the likes of Sylvia Brown.

According to the Bible the living cannot comunicate with the dead because they are either asleep (Rightous dead) or in Hell (the evil dead).
It referres to people who do this as ones who consult with "familiar spirits" meaning that they don't communicate with the spirits of dead human beings but with familiar (to God) demonic spirits who were cast down from heaven with Satan.

"Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek
after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your
God."
Leviticus 19:31, KJV

"And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar
spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I
will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him
off from among his people."
Leviticus 20:6, KJV

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his
son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth
divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a
witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits,
or a wizard, or a necromancer."
Deuteronomy 18:10-11, KJV

Of course she is. Just cause you cannot peer into the ultraviolet realm many call 'heaven' doesn't mean others cannot.

She's right. There is no hell except for the one of your own making. Your memories of how you treated others are eternal. That is the key as to the condition of your existence in the afterlife.
