Hello, I'm looking for exhaust tips for my 98 Crown Vic. I am searching for an aggressive sound. I heard I should go with the resonator delete tips instead of the regular resonated tips. I want to know what makes the resonator delete tips give that authoritative sound. And, could ANY exhaust tip without the resonator material inside give me that aggressive sound? Thanks.

Tips alone are not going to do much for sound. You need to change the mufflers for that.

There are some tips that can give you a little bit of sound but you get the best results with a muffler swap, If all you're wanting to do is get some aggresssive sound then I'd go with a new muffler(s) but if you're looking for a little deeper then stock go to autozone or a local auto parts store and pick up a new tip, they just screw on over the existing exhaust pipe.

Exhaust tips are only for looks. The sound that comes out of your exhaust is determined buy the exhaust system itself. If you want to change the tone, then you have to modify the exhaust system. Try replacing the muffler with a single chambered one, like a Flowmaster, or Flowtech. You can also change the original catalytic converter with a high flow cat. Remember, you have to maintain enough back flow for other parts of your cars systems to work properly, and there is a horsepower drop off if there is too much flow. After everything is the way you want it, and you feel you have the sound you are looking for, then add a tip to finish it off so it looks good.

NO. You can handiest broaden the noise by means of replacing the add-ons within the exhaust procedure ie getting rid of the silencer factors of the exhaust pay attention even though in view that there are limits to how so much noise a vehicle can produce and we would not desire a tug from the police for noise could we.

Put a flowmaster exhaust system on it, and a K&N air cleaner
