My son was arrested 11/2 years ago.He got a high fine for having a broken ink pen and a very small amount of meth in his truck. He went to court and they put him in Drug Court classes. He went 3 times a week. Drug tested 3 times a week. Home work etc. Have to go to 5 NA meetings a week and keep a full time job. His meeting were 8:00 till 10:00 3 times a week and was to graduate to phase 2 this week. His probation office has harrassed him from the get go.I have plenty of evidence on the harressment. Her threats has made him loose his mind and he could not handle this anymore. it was bad. He went across the state line to go to work to send money back to pay his fines off and his plans were to come back and turn himself in after he made the money. His probation officier made it inpossible for him to keep a job to pay fines and they were all due.A cop profiled him in Louisisana. And now in jail waiting extradition. What can i do for him? Is a verbal hold enough to keep him in jail there?

your kid needs to take it like a man. You are enabling him and making excuses for him. He needs a reality check and so do you.

As a former peace officer, 99 percent of inmates never did any wrong. it is either the system, their race, society--anyone other than the person in the mirror. I not ignorant of occasional abuses, but when you consider what is posted here: banned substance, breaking parole etc, etc--those are serious offenses.
if you want to add to that the fact that he is not a favourite with his parole officer--you are looking at serious jail time. I see two types of problems--spiritual and legal. 1. Rebellion--spiritual root, perhaps generational, Exodus 34: 6/7.
2. Legal--get a good lawyer. Fortunately, the solution to the spiritual problems can help the legal ones, but not vice versa.

I would try and enlist the services of a good lawyer asap. Your son can file a cimplaint/law suit for bullying and harrassment by his probation officer. Unfortunately bullying is rife as is instutionalised racism in the police force and the military.
However your son does not have to take it, he has a strong case for complaint. I'm not familiary with in Louisiana but there has to be an organisation which deals with probation officers to whom you could file an official complaint. This officer made your son'd like very diffcult, her threats led him to crossing the border and ultimately was responsible for him losing his job.
In such cases and believe me they are rife unfortunately, it is always best to get the media on your side. We have to highlight bullying and racism. Call up your local paper and explain your situation, also your local radio station. I am sure they would be more than happy to interview you and your son and help to highlight the flaws which exist in your probation service. Probation officer are meant to help rehabilitate people not to make their life so intolerable that they drive them to breaking the law.
Good Luck!.

i don't think of that is a serious situation, yet I nonetheless imagine the appropriate answer ought to be to decriminalize drug use and possession, for all drugs, risky or no longer. Pot those who smoke are unlikely to reason a lot situation, enable's no longer clog up the courts with that variety of offence. Meth heads will end making use of or die, and the quicker it occurs, the better. Drug attempt those human beings, in public or deepest employ, which have a job which could impact safe practices and safe practices .

So what your saying is, he was arrested for possession, couldn't handle working while being on probation, broke probation going across state line and he's in jail in Louisiana because a cop "profiled" him? At what point is he responsible for his actions? It sounds like enough stuff to keep him locked up. karlyk721 gave good information.
